Money, money, money I drove over their tire sensing system while bringing my car in for service. It said I needed new tires and an alignment. Turns out when I asked for a 2nd drive through (steering straight), there was no problem with my 9 month old aligned tires... Brought my husband's car in for a warranty replacement of an airbag. After 90 minutes I was called to receive the car. (Estimated 1 hour to replace.) I was then told the part was not in stock, even though it was when I made the appointment. I was also presented with a $3000 estimate of work needed on the car - 90% labor... Awaiting the airbag order. Beautiful facility, attentive staff but.... (needed) service???? Sending my husband next time... More
Came in for service drove home with a new car I brought my 2015 BMW in for service and inquired about returning my car and getting a new one early. lack of communication and lies took my x5 in because it developed a coolant leak i asked them to diagnose the car as well as see about the two recalls my car have and to also keep took my x5 in because it developed a coolant leak i asked them to diagnose the car as well as see about the two recalls my car have and to also keep me informed. she said ok i told her that anything she finds wrong to please contact my warranty and see if its covered and to let me know. she called me back later that day to inform me that my temp sensor and lower radiator hose was cracked.they were covered by the warranty so i agreed to approve them to work on the car. i told her that i forgot to let her know that my heater wasn't working and if they could see why that was she said OK and she would call me tomorrow. i didn't hear from her for 3 days. i simple call text or email would make me happy if they still haven't gotten a chance to re diagnose the car. i just want to know whats going on and if any progress is being made, but no i didn't hear anything for 3 days the 4th day i decided to call and she what is going on i was told that she was off and they dont have any information on the new status of my vehicle they said i had to talk to her. the next day she called and said that my heater control valve needed to be replace i asked if she contacted my warranty she said no i asked if she can please contact them she did and called me back and said that it wasn't covered. i said ok just forget about that. and fix what is covered. i called my warranty to see why that part was not covered and they told me that they have no record of her calling about the heater control valve the only thing she called about was the temp sensor. by this time im pissed because i hate to be lied to especially when its about a car that i drive. she didnt even check to see if the parts was in for my recall it really just felt like she was trying to get my car out of service as fast as she can and i dont like that because when i want things done right. i didn't say anything i just went and picked my car up i will never bring my car back to BMW of Sarasota, not because i wasn't kept in the loop but because i was LIED to and that is very UNPROFESSIONAL, i will continue to get my car serviced at BERT & SMITH BMW it might be a little further but if it means better customer service and peace of mind i will take that drive. More

Oh man the worst part is the assistant service Devin it's call it maked me wait more the 10min they have to go and look for she didn't even apologize for being late, she don't even treat you with respect for some people that is very important. very poor service, this time was the last After the joke they told me about oil leak 2,900 plus the coolant leaking from the turbos $2,970 it just make me give up bmws after 13 years of driving 3 types 325i ,525i and 535i series, I know I can get a second opinion by another mechanic but I won't even bother I'm getting a tundra instead More

Went to Sarasota BMW on Wednesday to get a small thing checked out and to get acquainted with my new dealership. They are under major renovation, so you expect some minor inconveniences. I called the day before to be sure it would be okay to stop in around 2:00 PM. The lady who answered the phone was just terrific and set me up with an appointment. To be fair, I did arrive 20 minutes early. The young man checking me in could not find any service advisors.....all out to lunch, literally. He showed me to the waiting area, which was like half the show room floor. They offered any thing you could possibility need or want while waiting. Around 2:00 PM a young man, Alex came in to check on everyone and get any concerns they may have with their vehicles. Hours pass and I have to say, I suffer from a bad back and those chairs offer no lumbar support. I walked around outside for some relief and was asked if I needed any help by the nice lady who had originally answered the phone and set up my appoint. Finally I was approached my my service coordinator, Chelsea Merrihew, who was terrific. She was worth the wait. Very nice and super helpful. Answered all my questions and let me know about a recall that was being taken care of. Told it it would be about 20 more minutes. In 20 minutes she found me outside and let me know it was ready. Asked if I would like it washed but I had it cleaned earlier that day. Could not be happier with the service. More

Had the return the car for repair to the top in 05/2015 due to poor installation. Had to return it again in 05/2016 again for poor installation and re-do what was done the previous year. Completely unacceptable....if the replacement had been done correctly in the first place, would not have had to return twice to have that job repaired....poor workmanship. Unethical recommendations...they suggested a number of things needed to be addressed...total cost almost $2000 if done. We decided to have their suggestions looked into by reputable third parties...nothing needed was wrong or needed to be done. Total cost....$0... this dealership service department was making suggestions for unnecessary work to be performed...if you are not absolutely sure what needs doing....take your car someplace else for verification. On a scale of 1 to 5...this dealer gets a ZERO....trying to cheat the public. Don't go there. More
