Lewis was my advisor on the day of my service, I was glad I was assigned to him as he had helped me on a previous appointment. All in all I was very pleased to have used bmw of Sarasota for my auto repair not only because the service was five star but I found their prices to be upfront and lower than other quotes. He noted the service that was needed for my vehicle. I volunteer on Wednesday, so Derek promptly called an Uber for me to take me to the hospital for my volunteer day. Derek did text me and gave me his cell number and advised me when my vehicle was done. Derek also called Uber for my pick up and brought me to the dealership Great service and Derek was fantastic. Also the mechanic that worked on my car actually took the time to find the problem rather than just charging for a text book fix. I believe that Maria May have made the suggestion. Really took some thinking (and caring) outside the box. More
Disappointed I am new to the Sarasota area and this is the first visit to this BMW service department and I have to say that I’m quite disappointed in the service I am new to the Sarasota area and this is the first visit to this BMW service department and I have to say that I’m quite disappointed in the service that I received. Although most of the staff was very friendly, my service representative did not provide me with the full pricing estimate prior to starting service. I was under the impression that my vehicle was still under warranty and when told that it had lapsed a few months prior, the price quoted did not include all services that were delivered. Although not happy about it I grinned and paid. In addition, approximately one hour prior to completion of the job my service rep said that the car wash was down but that I could bring the vehicle back another day. Again, I was disappointed but understanding that things happen. At the end of the visit when being walked to my vehicle I mentioned how I hated that I couldn’t get the vehicle cleaned today and the rep nonchalantly said that “he’d owe me one”. It was only when entering my vehicle that I looked up and saw other cars going through the car wash. Not only that but the vehicles parked in front of and behind mine were cleaned as well. As I drove over to the car wash for a better view, the service rep ran up to my car and said that the machine must be up now and that he could take it through. I try to be understanding and not be petty about things but I felt that not only was I misled about pricing but to add insult to injury the rep did not care enough to look up and see that themachine was operable again. I guess that my smalll $1000 service payment wasn’t significant enough to receive excellent customer service. Lesson learned. More

Overall, it was a very bad experience Although Carlos Munoz and Valentina Lizardi were very professional and nice, my experience was not a good one. It was the first time I had brought the car in for service and each time I left, something else would break on the car. After an air conditioning maintenance (and a couple other maintenance services) heat began to pour out of vents. It was repaired at no cost to me and I asked that they check the other work, which included brakes, was done properly since my 17 year old daughter would be driving the car. I was assured that everything had checked out just fine. As we pulled out of the parking lot, the car began to shake and the check engine light came on. We immediately went back and had that issue fixed. Again we were assured all was good with the car now. As we pulled out of the parking lot again, the car began to make a very loud air popping sound. We turned around again and Carlos asked the mechanic to take it for a test drive to see what the problem was this time. The mechanic was very rude and stated he didn't want to work on the car. I asked Carlos to do the test drive because the mechanic seemed angry, but Carlos insisted the mechanic was more knowledgeable and would do the test drive. He heard the sound and brought the car back, revving the engine to a point that I asked him to please stop doing that before the problem got worse. Again, the mechanic seemed angry. We left after they zip tied a piece back together on the car because the parts department was closed and they could not do the repair until the next day. Overall, it was a very bad experience. More
