Do not trust the pre-owned salespeople at BMW of Rockville. They are dishonest and manipulative. I had been in discussion to see a convertible that was traded in and made arrangements with the salesperson to come in as soon as it was ready on a Saturday. Keep in mind that it’s a two-hour drive to BMW of Rockville, so it's not around the corner). I was told day of that the car was still not ready and would have to push my appointment to early to mid-next week. I was fine with that, but explained I worked a 9-5 and at best, I could get there after work. I had rescheduled for Wednesday of the following week after work for 6pm. I got a call at 4pm that day that another party was driving in from NJ to also look at the car, and I would have to beat them there to have a first look. At no point in any of our communications did they state that I did not have first right of refusal. I would have even put down a deposit to secure it. Nothing was ever mentioned in text, email, or on the phone. However, they really wanted me to come down there to see the car. Upon my arrival at the dealership, I was shocked to find that the other potential buyers were already test driving the car. The salespeople then instructed me to wait outside the preowned office, clearly intending for the other buyers to see me. They then proceeded to play us against each other, using me as a pawn in their sales strategy. It was a clear case of manipulation and I felt utterly used. These other buyers who drive from NJ were going to come back in the morning and give them a check. Unfortunately, since I was also there ready to make a deal, they couldn’t do that. It was after 5pm, and the banks were closed, so the only way they could buy the car was if they financed it right there on the spot. Interest rates for pre-owned cars were 9% this summer and you’d have to be pretty desperate to finance a car with rates that high AND take the hit to your credit score for a hard pull. But they did. So I drove back two hours empty-handed. The bottom line is that they had to overpay for the car and be put in a stressful situation they were not anticipating. Not to mention, they used me as bait, and the only winner was the dealership. When you think of your typical shady used car dealer, BMW of Rockville is a prime example of dishonesty and poor customer care... just to make a sale. More

I actually had a 7:30 a. m. appointment at the Audi dealership where I purchased my BMW but with the type of repair needed, one of the Audi reps recommended going across the s m. appointment at the Audi dealership where I purchased my BMW but with the type of repair needed, one of the Audi reps recommended going across the street to the BMW dealership. Upon arriving at BMW, I was greeted immediately in the service department. I thought I was just going to be able to make an appointment but within minutes, Juan Carlos (J.C.) Rodriguez, came over and asked me about what needed to be done. Since my vehicle was maintained at that location by the previous owner, J.C. knew the maintenance that needed to be done and also checked into the tie rod repair I needed as well. He also made me aware of the oil change special which I really appreciated. The same day my maintenance was taken care of and I had an estimate for the tie rod repair. It was such a great experience. BMW of Rockville will be my where I take my vehicle from now on and where I will purchase my next BMW. Thanks J.C.! More
