An outstanding experience from start to finish My wife and I decided it was time for a new car. We had not made any decision as to exactly what kind of car but thought we wanted a small SUV. Whe My wife and I decided it was time for a new car. We had not made any decision as to exactly what kind of car but thought we wanted a small SUV. When we arrived at BMW of Rockville, we walked into the showroom and the first person we met was Robert Ogust, General Manager. He talked briefly with us in a very friendly way and told us that because they were so busy on that day it would be a few minutes before a client advisor would be available to meet with us. He then offered us coffee or something to drink while we waited. It was a very good beginning to our visit. In a short time, Mr. James Tan, client advisor, came over to us and asked what kind of cars we would like to see. When we told him a small SUV, he took us to see the three different SUVs on the showroom floor, the X5, X3 and X1. We liked what we saw with the X1. The car on the showroom floor was a 2016 model and he said that he wanted to be sure we knew that they had previously owned cars from 2015 and earlier that were in excellent condition and came with good warranties. We looked at a few but we decided that we would like to drive the 2016 X1. The test drive was a very, very positive experience. Mr. Tan knew the car inside and out and while my wife drove, he explained in great detail how all the bells and whistles worked. It was far and away the most positive test drive and overall experience we had during our car shopping. When we got back to the dealership he sat with us and explained what the total cost would be and how we could move forward if we so chose. We did chose to move forward and left BMW Rockville with a new X1. We did not have the title for our trade in car so came back the following day with the title. Mr. Tan met us then and sat for about an hour going through all the questions that my wife and I had about how to work the sophisticated equipment that came with the car. The BMW X1 was a big purchase and at no time did we feel any undo pressure to move forward if we were not ready. Mr. Tan was an outstanding representative of BMW Rockville and we will recommend the dealer and him specifically to our friends. More
