My Car Lit on Fire A few months ago I purchase a used 2015 BMW 328i and everything was great at first. This was the first time I was purchasing a car and was treated wel A few months ago I purchase a used 2015 BMW 328i and everything was great at first. This was the first time I was purchasing a car and was treated well. Having the car for less than a month, it lit on fire while I was driving. The consensus was that a bag could have potentially started the fire, but we do not know for sure because the transmission cover was severed (which wouldn't happen from just a bag). After dealing with that traumatic incident, I went back to BMW to let them know what had happened with the hopes of purchasing another car from them (as I was thinking it was just a freak accident). BMW and the managers there were not even willing to give me a discount on another used car and was even told by the one managers, John McBride, that when my car lit on fire that this was "not his problem". Not to mention, I was told by one of the salesmen that when used cars come in, they simply "walk around the vehicle" to check if it is okay. I was lucky to make it out of a burning car alive and unharmed, but the way I was treated after dealing with this traumatic incident was unacceptable. I am not sure if I will ever get another BMW in the future, but what I am sure of is that I will NEVER step foot into the BMW of Freehold ever again. More
