They Damaged my car My car was taken to Lauderdale BMW for a recall on the door latches. From a recall I received a bill for a door handle, a battery, a diagnostic test My car was taken to Lauderdale BMW for a recall on the door latches. From a recall I received a bill for a door handle, a battery, a diagnostic test and a door vapor seal. Detailed in a bill from David Williams. I had no problems whatsoever with my door handle. My door handle was working fine before Lauderale BMW started working on it for the recall. I cannot get in and out of my driver side door now. David told me that my handle was bad when they got it. He said that the battery which I purchased from them was not under warranty due to the door handle causing a draw. I emailed him to him that my door handle was fine. I had no problems at all. I paid for the diagnostic and decided to write Lauderdale BMW this week in a letter. But when I could not get out of my car when I came home today I felt the need to share my experience. The vapor seal in my rear door somehow became damaged but Lauderdale BMW had to go in my doors to replace the latches. The inside chrome at my window where they went in my rear driver side passenger door was damage too. The door panel they went into is not on completely and the covers for the screws are missing. I took pictures and sent them to David Williams. He tells me that the tech said that the door was like that when they got my car. That is a lie. Which further infuriated me. If my car had any issue Lauderdale BMW would have notified me immediately. David even had the audacity to ask if the service center Motronix, which brought my car to them for the recall went into my doors or someone else. This was really the last straw. Lauderdale BMW goes around your car to check for any damage and the techs when they work on your car immediately notify the service rep of any prior damage. Not once was I notified of anything. Upon preparing to clean my car which they gave back to me filthy. Grease and grime from their service center I noticed pieces of foam and broken pieces of plastic near my rear doors and noticed the additional damage David Williams in my opinion is a very brash and totally non respondent representative of Lauderxale BMW. My car issues which happened while in their possession should have been a priority to take care of. Yet he gave me my car in worse shape than when I gave it to Lauderdale BMW. More

Consistently terrible I've had 3 cars through the service shop. My experience is they are: 1) Totally overpriced even vs other area BMW dealers. 2) Charge for work which I've had 3 cars through the service shop. My experience is they are: 1) Totally overpriced even vs other area BMW dealers. 2) Charge for work which was not done. 3) It can take several visits for the same problem to be fully rectified. BMW itself is to blame as well. 4) They supposedly run diagnostics (at least they make a big deal about the cost) then didn't seem to identify 2 extended warranty problems that should show up in diagnostics. Another call to BMW NA needed as its clear I have one of the extended warranty issues. 5) Can leave your car worse off than it was when it entered their shop. They managed to dump gasoline in the rear interior area of a Z3 Coupe. Their fix was an air freshener shoe hanging off the mirror. After a talk with BMW NA, the entire interior in back of the front seats was replaced. My feelings about BMW of Fort Lauderdale: Its a pain getting them to do anything, then you hope they actually did it, then you discover they did it wrong, then you waste time trying to get them to correct the issue, then you call BMW NA and in short order they tell BMW of Fort Lauderdale to fix the car. BMW will be very pleased to know I have decided to part ways with them after 23 years and 7 new BMW's. I'm just sick and tired of collecting stacks of service orders and difficult dealer experiences. More
