Have purchased three vehicles from BMW of Encinitas in the past three years. Took vehicle in for service due to unusual noise and a rattle in the rear door. They never called to say vehicle would be held the past three years. Took vehicle in for service due to unusual noise and a rattle in the rear door. They never called to say vehicle would be held over night. I had to call around 4:30 to find car would not be ready until the next day due to special order parts. Rattle in ddor resolved, but vehicle returned with code unresolved in computer and vehicle still making same noise. No explanation as to why noise remains. Repair ticket states "BMW is working on it." Wonderful. Filled out survey and receive call and e-mail from Mary Jo Gelardo, Customer Service Manager who wants to discuss why I am unhappy with service. We discuss on phone on May 20 and she promises to set appointment with service manager week of May 23 to resolve issue. Never heard any more from her, so sent e-mail on May 27 advising we would not use the dealership again. Forwarded a copy of that e-mail to Brian Woods, the General manager and he has not replied either. Finally, there is a recall on one vehicle we purchased from them on 12/28/10. The recall was initiated on Oct 18, 2010 by BMW. I kind of think the dealer would have done the recall work before delivering the car? We just found out about the recall by taking it to another dealer, since we never received a recall notice. Or the owners card or anything else we should have received following the purchase. Just their way of doing business I suppose. SO glad the latest 535i came from somewhere else and the next 7 series will too! More
Peter was very helpful. He took a lot of time to help us and we weren't exactly the biggest sake he was ever going to have. We were there to look at a used Toyota Sienna, not a BMW. Peter, however, treated us like we were there to buy a much nicer vehicle. My wife & I have two small children who both need to be in car-seats, so he literally had to allow both of us to take turns test-driving the vehicle. On top of that, we could not decide right away (because of our kids' needs), so we had to go home & come back later in order to purchase the Sienna. This took even more of his time. We couldn't be happier with the vehicle that we bought there & also couldn't be happier with the service that we received, particularly from Peter. If we ever know someone who is in the market to buy a new BMW, we will not only direct them to BMW Encinitas, but will personally recommend that they ask for Peter as their salesman. - Andy Andy Schreiber More
This is the best and smoothest car purchases I have ever made without my dad being involved. I have grown up in the car business from my dad owning dealerships and now me owning my own auto detailing busine made without my dad being involved. Buying a car from Peter was as close as you could get to buying a car from a family member. Peter really made me and my wife feel like we were the most important customers to him. I would HIGHLY recommend going to Encinitas BMW if you are still looking for that family type atmosphere. Peter went above and beyond and found us our perfect car and the price we wanted to pay!!!!! This is our 3rd car from BMW Encinitas. When we purchasing our 2nd car, we were fortunate to meet Elizabeth. She made the car buying experience very easy and hassle free! She did not try to push us purchasing our 2nd car, we were fortunate to meet Elizabeth. She made the car buying experience very easy and hassle free! She did not try to push us into a vehicle we didn't want. She was always looking out for our best interest. When we were looking to buy our 3rd BMW, we came straight to Elizabeth because we really trusted her to give us honest answers and a great deal! When our car was ready for pick-up Justin helped us with all of the paperwork and car delivery. He spent a lot of time with us answering all of our many questions and really made the process enjoyable. We will definitely be back and asking for Elizabeth & Justin! More
My research enabled me to decide upon a particular BMW model before even contacting the dealership. We also wanted it built to our specifications. I was also able to determine the price I was willing to model before even contacting the dealership. We also wanted it built to our specifications. I was also able to determine the price I was willing to pay. The dealership agreed to the price and we worked with Peter to order the vehicle. After agreeing upon the price, I asked the dealership to give us an offer on our current car. The price was not only fair, but it exceeded the offers received from others. So, the price for the new car was less than others were willing to sell it to us for, and the offer for our car was more than others were willing to pay. The bottom line was a very attractive transaction from our perspective. During the waiting period while our car was being built, Peter was in constant contact with us as to the process and when our car might be ready. He truly exceeded our expectations in keeping us informed. Although our car cost far less than the more expensive BMW's available, we were treated as though we were their most important customer. During the delivery process, Peter spent about 3 hours with us making sure that we knew exactly how everything worked. During the process, I also worked with Mac and Jose in the parts department. They were also friendly and accommodating, thereby further enhancing our overall experience. More

I was interested in ordering a vehicle from the factory. Peter G. was friendly, but just didn't have the interest in making my request anything but an extremely low priority. In general, I'm not that put out, but I do wish that Peter would have been more upfront about the focus of the dealership towards selling cars on the lot vice custom orders. He wrote an email stating: "sorry I haven't gotten back to you, the weekends here are MAX busy"... who the heck wants to hear their sales rep say that?! Look elsewhere if you want to custom order a vehicle. I get the impression they're OK if you want to help them move their lot stock. More
