This is an excerpt of the letter I sent to Greg Holloway's office and BMW NA some time ago: " During the completion of my sale, I was told that I had to accept the BMW credit card in order receive the promotional financing rate. I specifically asked if there is any way to get the promotional rate without signing the credit card agreement, I was again told flat out NO and that I should take the card and immediately cancel it if I didn't want. Upon receiving the card, I called to cancel and recounted the information I was told by the dealership. The credit card representative told me that the dealer had lied to me and that there was no requirement to take the credit card in order to get the financing for the car. As I suspected, the representative confirmed that your dealership receives a financial incentive for signing up new card members. Finally, I was told by Bill that a separate entry for the credit card would not be made on my credit report. I recently received an updated credit report complete with an entry for the BMW Credit Card confirming another lie. " I left out the part where Bill decided to try to embarrass me since I wanted to take 5 minutes and READ THE CONTRACT I WAS SIGNING. He went off the handle saying that in his x years of experience no one has ever read the contract. I decided to get my car serviced by the dealership (even though it was 40 miles away from my home) after reading the reviews on this website. It was a mistake. They could not be more careless. I had asked them to look into some problems with my car along with the regular service maintenance. Not only did they not fixed my problems instead they removed parts off my car without bothering to fix them. I went early morning at 8 am gave them the car. They did not provide me with a loaner since they were out and I had to get a friend to pick me up. Their representative told me that he will call me as soon as they are done, and it should be done today. Instead nobody called me and when I called them in the evening multiple times they told me that i can pick up the car only next day. They did not have the basic courtesy inform me of the delay. When I went back to pick up the car I found that they had not done anything about the problems that I had pointed out. (My steering was creaking, left front wheel rim was bent, and other issues.) When I asked them about it they just asked me to reschedule. When I went back home I found that they had taken parts off my wiper and covering on my tail light and never bother to replace it back. Furthermore they did not even have the courtesy to fill up my washer fluid. I completely regret going to them and would strongly advise against getting service from them. More

The following is feedback to I gave this week to the Head of the Service Operation at BMW of Bloomfield . . . I have purchased 5 cars from them. Craig: A story: So I’m in Atlanta yesterday on busine of the Service Operation at BMW of Bloomfield . . . I have purchased 5 cars from them. Craig: A story: So I’m in Atlanta yesterday on business and get an “emergency call” from my wife. I call back to find that the “emergency” is that the car has told her that the right rear tire is “flat” – what should she do? So I told her to call BMW Roadside Assistance. I said (stupid me) that they would change the tire with the spare . . . period the end. An hour and a half later another “emergency call” – the roadside guy says “there is no spare” (God am I a moron!) and that he’s not sure that the tire can make it to the dealer. The car is in the driveway . . . I tell her to exhale and I’d deal with it today. Right after that I reached out to the fabulous Tom Cueman who – in minutes responded to voice mail and email with BOTH suggesting that if I’m in doubt, have it towed . . . no big deal. He even does the REALLY nice thing of calling the house just to assure everyone here that all would be fine. Very classy! So, this morning I look at the tire in the light of day . . . and am amazed that the new tire technology supported the car and while the tire was certainly low it seemed perfectly reasonable to try to drive it, slowly, to Montclair. Walking into your service department was like walking into a family event (only I like YOUR family better than mine!). I exchanged banter with Mr. Cueman, and the equally awesome, newly buff, newly glassless, always delightful Keith Marciniak appeared and with great wit and good humor got me into a loaner, ordered me a new tire (I have the BMW tire insurance) and sent me happily on my way. When I tell people stories like this about a car dealership they don’t believe me. And as much as I’d love to get the hell out of Short Hills and New Jersey and dramatically reduce my annual tax bill . . . I keep saying to my family – if I do that . . . who’s going to take care of my cars?????? So, old pal, I once again thank you for creating the kind of place that smart and classy people want to work . . . who engage customers in important and meaningful ways . . . who are people one would be pleased to have as guests in one’s home. It is a HUGE competitive edge in my humble opinion. More
Early this morning, I learned - as I was pulling out from my driveway - that I had a flat tire. Since the BMW service center was close - I decided to go there to get it checked out. Of course, I was frazzled - because I had to get to work! However, Christine really put me at ease. She was very pleasant and directed me to Jin Yon, the Service Advisor. I explained my situation and immediately he had my problem handled and within a short time, I was out and on my way! I can't tell you how comfortable and assured both of these employees made me feel - which wasn't an easy feat! I also have to say that I have always had good experiences with the dealership in the 8 years I have owned a BMW. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to any BMW owner or anyone considering buying a BMW. Great work! Great service! Nice people! More
Let me start by saying I did all the research before I started looking for a car. I went to this dealership because of a recommendation for a specific salesman. First, the salesman reviewed a number of options for me for new and used cars. I had an opportunity to test drive any car. I had options such as financing and lease v. purchase explained to me. I did purchase a vehicle and the dealer did everything for me. They got me a great rate on financing, took care of the insurance, got me plates (sent fedex at my option), did all of the paperwork and did it all with courtesy and professionalism. Second, I got a great price. Can't ask for more. More
Am original owner of my 1992 E-36 (3 Series). Arrived at dealer absolutely cold and with vehicle on flat bed. I selected BMW Bloomfield because of this website. I chose them because of the write ups concerning communication between customer, ability to listen to customer, quality of work and fairness of cost. My problem was solved. The problem involved getting beyond the usual computer diagnosis. They took their time, focused their knowledge using deductive reasoning and solved the problem without tearing the car apart. My service representative, Jin Yoon was extremely helpful. I called the dealership cold and was placed with him. Spoke with Jin before bringing the car in for repair. He remained in constant communication with me, informed me of what was being done to find the problem, solve the problem and the costs involved. Jin and the people at BMW Bloomfield worked to be as fair as possible. They succeeded. I might add that I am an involved owner who does not offer praise easily. However, the service department, those who analyzed my car's problem, those who repaired the vehicle and Jin who interfaced with the customer (I) and the shop, did a great job. I recommend this shop. They are fair. It is important for the customer to communicate with the service rep and give a much information beforehand as possible. That way the shop can focus upon the symptoms and save everyone time. These are complicated cars. Jin and everyone there put me back on the road with a smile on my face. And I don't compliment easily. More
