I've worked with quite a few automotive service departments over the years, having owned an array of finicky cars, and our current 2017 530i xDrive is certainly one of them. We've had more than what I would consider usual levels of interaction with service, but Bob has made our frustrations with this car as painless as possible. If we were to buy another BMW, Bob would be a major reason for that decision. More

Buyer Beware! Purchased 2 BMWs through Erhard. Was hopeful the service would match the decor of the new dealership - it definitely did NOT! Went in for a slow leak Purchased 2 BMWs through Erhard. Was hopeful the service would match the decor of the new dealership - it definitely did NOT! Went in for a slow leak tire repair and was told I needed 3 new tires (for $900) but not the one that was leaking! Was told that one could be repaired. Declined the new tires. Reviewed the invoice when I arrived at home and found they had NOT repaired the leaking tire! REALLY! Went to a local tire dealer to have the tire repaired and asked how much tread life was left on the 3 tires that Erhard wanted to replace. Was told they are about “halfway through their life, likely have 15,000 to 20,000 miles left”! And, the same tires would cost $900 for 4 tires vs $900 for 3 at Erhard. A subsequent email from Erhard recommended the “Pothole Special” to align all 4 wheels because the misalignment had caused the “excess” tread wear. Only $1995! The email indicated that the “recommendations ... may be significant to the ongoing performance and safety of your vehicle”. Indeed! So, according to Erhard, I needed almost $3000 in repair work that was completely unnecessary. Will never go back to them again for sales or service. If you choose to give your business to them, don’t be blinded by the beautiful facility, instead pay attention to whether they are selling something that is not needed at an inflated price. Shameful and unethical! More
