My date of service 1/17/2012: I read reviews of Anap BMW service for the first time today and could not agree more with what another reviewer (vahidsedghi) wrote. Do NOT Go there for service. I have an 03 X service for the first time today and could not agree more with what another reviewer (vahidsedghi) wrote. Do NOT Go there for service. I have an 03 X5 and the last time I used them for service 2 yrs ago I swore I would never go back after they put on a thousand dollars worth of new tires and did not replace the valve stems and I subsequently had a blowout due to the valve stem being dry rotted. I had to go directly to the GM, Bill Bennetts with that issue. I made the huge mistake of giving the service department another shot last week (1/17/2012). I commute 60 miles each way to work and have noticed over the last year that I have slight vibration both when I am driving and when sitting still in my steering wheel, seat and under my feet. I took it to a non dealer shop that only works on BMW a week earlier to check on the vibration and they looked over everything, to include tire pressure, brakes, calipers and anything that might cause a vibration. They could not find anything wrong, but said I needed to replace the control arm and bushing that had been previously noted as bad and it should hopefully fix the vibration. The repair was 288.00 so I had it fixed, however I still had the vibration so thought I would try Annap BMW to get another opinion. I told the service writer (Alen) about my vibration, that it had been happening for a year, it pulled slightly to the right at times, and that I thought maybe I was imagining it and it may be the age of my vehicle that I am feeling. He did not have a shop guy available since it was almost 4:30 to drive the car and no loaner available for me to leave it to be looked at the next morning. Another man (not sure of his title), came out from his office and said he could find a shop guy to drive the car, which he did. I asked the service writer if I could ride with the shop guy to show him the noise and he said no, that he would be able to feel it and know what it is. The shop guy came back 20 mins later saying I had a stuck left caliper, but filled out the current vehicle condition report with all checks in the green sections that reflect very good. There were several men around and they all began the scare tactic of telling me that it was dangerous to drive my car and that the rotor would burn up due to the caliper sticking and it could catch on fire and then the service writer jumped up from his seat and miraculously found a loaner car available to give me since the cost for this stuck caliper was 1400.00 (the front brakes, rotors, pads, etc. all had to be replaced as well). I told them that I have been driving the car with this vibration for a year and really don't think that's the issue, but they were adamant that it was. And yes, the cost (1400.00) is high, but I have no problem paying if it would fix the vibration. Also note that I have the pre condition of my car worksheet stating that my front brakes and rotors were brand new. I had just replaced them all, so am now paying for all new parts again. They told me their rule is to replace everything (brakes, rotors, pads on front) when a caliper is replaced. We went back to the shop area to get my belongings from my car and the shop guy turned my front left tire showing me what he considered to be stuck. The wheel turned slowly, but that can be faked and I should have turned it myself, but again, as long as the vibration was fixed, I was fine with the repair. I told the service writer and shop guy that I will have an issue if it still vibrates when I pick it up and they assured me that the caliper was the problem and a new one would take care of the vibraton. I picked up my car the next day and it had the EXACT same vibration as before, nothing at all was different about how the car felt when driving it or sitting still. I called the service writer immediately and told him i would be back in 2 days when I was in the area again to discuss. When I went back I was told by the serviice writer to ride with the shop foreman, which I did. The shop foreman said the vibration I am feeling is definitely not a caliper. He said most likely the age of the car, which is what I thought in the first place. I asked what a stuck caliper feels like and he said the car shakes and the steering wheel would shake and it would pull to the side of the stuck caliper. I told them my car slightly pulled to the right and the caliper they replaced is on the left, very shady. Also, very shady that they wouldn't let me go on the test ride with the shop guy to make sure he understood the noise I was referring to. I was then taken to Steve Daly, the service managers office. There were two other men in addition to Steve in his office that all basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. They flat out told me I had a stuck caliper and that is what they fixed. I raised my voice as I began telling them that I don't believe I had a stuck caliper at all or I would not have been able to drive the car for so long. I told him it was not shaking as the foreman told me it would have with a stuck caliper and definitely would have pulled to the left, which id did not. THIS CAR WAS 100% DRIVABLE and bottom line, as I told them, they DID NOT fix the problem I brought the car in for. They fixed a made up problem or whatever was the easiest to diagnose for the most money. All the service manager did for me at that point was tell me he didn't appreciate being yelled at and that they fixed a stuck caliper and told me to have a nice day. I walked out, my car still vibrates just like it had for the past year and the service manager could have cared less! I called BMW NA and made a formal complaint. Anap BMW makes up problems to get your money and are very shady. Do not go to them for service, please look at all the lousy service reviews from this dealership before you waste your money! More
I was looking for a second car for my business. Since that meant I was looking for a used car, I thought a BMW would be the best due to its resell value, reliability and performance. Even though I that meant I was looking for a used car, I thought a BMW would be the best due to its resell value, reliability and performance. Even though I was looking for a used car, the professional treatment I received from BMW in Annapolis was top notch, beginning with my phone call to the dealership and ending with the delivery of the vehicle. They have a well thought out process for scheduling you for an appointment, bringing you together with your sales consultant, and closing the deal. At every stage of the process I felt like everyone at that dealership was operating like a well conducted orchestra. Even though the car I had come to see was no longer available, my sales consultant took the time to get to know my car needs, my likes, dislikes, etc.. By the time we had concluded our "chat", he had a pretty good idea what I would be looking for. Needless to say, he found the most perfect vehicle for me! It was perfect in every sense from color, to type, price, and benefits. He test drove the vehicle with me, explaining features as we drove along, offered additional points here and there, advising me of things I would need to pay attention to during my ownership of the vehicle. Closing the deal was equally pleasurable. The financial folks were swift, thorough and professional. It was definitely the experience I would expect from a BMW dealership! More

After selling me the lease insurance he insisted that I needed to purchase the Resist-All interior and exterior protection kit. I figured it was a waste. The entire process was a rush job. They wanted to get me out of the door so I would not figure out any more of his greasy tricks at the signing table. It has been three day and I just was called back into the his office to sign more paper that he forgot. More
