Bought Certified Pre-owned. After a few weeks we heard a clunking noise on the front driver side when going low speeds. We took it back to the dealership. It was only after our purchase and complaint to service did we find out the previous owner had the same complaint but the issue was never found/resolved. One tech drove around the parking lot admitted to my husband the noise was heard and even explained what he thought it was. A 2nd got in the car with the 1st tech, drove around the parking lot, and heard the noise. My vehicle was kept by the service department for a week. After picking it up we found it was documented that the same noise we ALL heard multiple times couldn't be found. Somehow after sitting at the dealership for a week the vehicle repaired itself and the noise magically disappeared. We were initially happy with our purchase, but our opinion of this dealership quickly changed. 1. This was a known issue when the previous owners had the vehicle. 2. It was never fixed which caused the owners to finally get rid of it. 3. It was advertised as CPO in excellent condition without disclosure of previous complaints. 4. After constantly hearing the noise, having 2 techs confirm they heard it, with 1 even going as far as telling my husband what he thought the problem was it was very disappointing to find no problem found was documented. It seems as if they know what "could be" the problem, but they don't want to take ownership of trying to fix the problem while under warranty. They are trying to provide a temporary fix to keep the vehicle/us quiet while documenting they don't hear the problem until the warranty runs out. Since BMW of Annapolis doesn't want to document the problem on work orders I will document the problem on every review that I can until we come up with an acceptable solution to address and completely fix the problem, not mask with a temporary fix. More
