Tu was great! I was always able to reach him by phone or email and he was open and receptive to all of my requests including taking the car to an independent inspector. When it came time to deal I worked with Omar who is a very nice person and a good negotiator. He didn't pressure me and we came to a reasonable agreement. The facility itself is immaculate and everyone is very friendly. Even the mechanics and detailers would smile and talk about the car you are looking at. This was my first dealer purchased vehicle and I can assure that when I'm in the market again I will be back. More

I find it interesting that I am writing a review because I have never done it before, but the experience I had with Paul's service definitely warranted that change in my habits. Without ANY hassle he and I came to an agreement on the price over the phone (yes, over the phone). I knew what I wanted and also knew what i was buying and Paul understood my reasons. However, that was not it - I had an hour to spare on buying the car that evening (we were to be on a plane the very next morning and would have been back AFTER the holiday's incentive was over … which is something we found out that afternoon). So, he kept his promise there too - I was of that dealership in an amazingly short period of time ... (all of us who ever bought a car know how long the process of buying a car typically is). I went in prepared to have to do some kind of jockeying or negotiating or worst case battle to get exactly what I wanted, but it was super smooth. Emailed the dealership and dealt with a gentleman named Paul Blakeman. Paul nearly instantly called me to schedule a time to hammer out details. I explained that I wanted to make a move quickly and we had a deal done in about 6 hours at an agreed to price over the phone on a car that was exactly what I wanted. We agreed to meet the next day. Paul had exact numbers matching the websites offer, and we had all the details hammered out near instantly. He had the car secured, detailed and ready to go for my arrival. The wife and I spent approximately 2 hours at the dealership, 1 hour to see the car, do the processing, sign on the dotted line, and 1 hour of Paul going through in amazing detail about every feature on the car. The BMW dealership was brand new and very well appointed, everyone was friendly but not pushy, and everything was delivered exactly as promised. A welcome relief from other dealerships, and especially more upfront than several other local "luxury" dealers in Tysons I had tried to deal with in the prior months. I would highly recommend dealing with Paul, for a no nonsense approach, highly professional, and an unexpected detailed knowledge of his product worthy of his tag line as a "car guy". More

I just picked up my 2008 BMW 335XI this morning and could not have asked for a better experience. The story begins in Aug 2010 when I first moved from Houston, TX to Arlington, VA. I walked into the BMW dealership at their old location and met Paul for the very first time. I was looking for a very specific vehicle, A CPO-ed BMW 4dr 335XI with manual Transmission. As you know these are very rare to come by. He was very helpful in finding one but unfortunately none were available in the market, but what I greatly appreciated, and which you don’t see in many dealers is patience he didn’t try to push me to purchase a different vehicle or a new one he simply said “I’m your car guy and I will make it happen.” I left the dealership with out a new vehicle but with something so much more valuable, A Car Guy, who not only knows his stuff but is trust worthy as well. Months pass and no call finally 1/26/11 I get a call from Paul, hey I have a 2008 BMW 335XI with manual transmission which just come in from a lease, if you’re still interested and in the market for one please come in and take a look at it. Unfortunately due to bad weather in the area I was unable to do so until Saturday 1/29/11. When I went in he told me everything about the car and then some. I was overwhelmed with knowledge but it all made sense when we went for the test drive. I loved the car so I told him everything I wanted… warranties, maintenance package etc.. And he said let me see what I can do and you tell me if this is a good deal for you. No need to negotiate he presented me with a spectacular deal with out the hassle of negotiating, one which I could not refuse. Today I signed and took delivery of my new vehicle and he made the process clean and easy. He also took the time to explain all the features and how to use them made himself readily available if I had any questions. He is amazing and has earned my business for life. I would greatly recommend Paul Blakeman. He also has many many many contacts for anything you want for your vehicle. If you desire window tints, he’s got a guy for that. Honestly you just don’t see this type of enthusiasm and connections these days. More

I recently purchased a 2008 335i coupe from BMW of Alexandria. I am a Marine just back from Afghanistan and was car shopping in the northern Virginia area while on my post deployment leave. I actually brought in a car from another dealership to be looked over but ended up being given a deal that I couldn't refuse as thanks for my service. I cant say enough about my experience there. It really doesn't get any better. The whole dealership is filled with professionals and its a beautiful facility as well. I worked with Paul Blakeman and I would recommend you do the same! Just go to the first desk on the left as you walk into the dealership from the main entrance. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. He didn't try to coerce me into the purchase at all. Really refreshing, he just gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision and was polite and professional at all times. In closing I would just say that if your in the market for a new or previously owned BMW in the northern Virginia area then BMW of Alexandria should be your first stop. Our purchase today is our 4th BMW in approximately 4 years and, up until this purchase, we have been good and dedicated customers of another dealership. However, I did not have sufficient confidence in the sales staff of the other dealership and hence, I searched the internet and made some cold calls when we decided to contemplate another purchase. I started with the Sale Manager at BMW of Alexandria/Arlington, who was amazingly responsive and helpful. He immediately put me in touch with one of his top salesmen, who, not only answered my questions about the new X3s, but answered a question that had baffled us and went unanswered about the X5 we bought just last month. Everyone we dealt with at BMW of Alexandria/Arlington was completely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, responsive and honest at all times. The sales manager even came and introduced himself within minutes of my walking in the door as I was talking to the salesman. He did the same when my husband independently showed up today, when we closed the deal. This dealership is much further away from our home, but I expect they just earned a lifetime customer. Great five star job. Great car - great price. Bravo. We are very happy customers. Can't wait for the car to be delivered. More

Paul "My Car Guy" Blakeman is incredible! I just purchased a 535xi and Paul was spot on in recommending this engine over the 550. I'm very pleased. Paul also insists on on-boarding you correctly (i would to) to ensure that you really enjoy your car. I have a 2002 X5 with almost 100000 miles, so I, unfortunately, have to get service on a regular basi working with my service advisor, Scott Oliver. I have a 2002 X5 with almost 100000 miles, so I, unfortunately, have to get service on a regular basis. But, thanks to Scott, it's actually not a bad experience. He is responsive and honest. When I have a problem, he always returns my calls immediately. He'll always give me a fair assesment of the problem and then he will tell me whether or not it is imperative I get it fixed, or if I can wait a few months to help budget. I feel lucky to have a service advisor whom I feel is on my side, looking out for me. I recommend Scott to all my friends with BMWs. More
