My car buying experience with Paul Blakeman at BMW of Alexandria exceeded all of my expectations and was truly exceptional. Paul's professionalism and attention to detail won me over. Most importantly, Alexandria exceeded all of my expectations and was truly exceptional. Paul's professionalism and attention to detail won me over. Most importantly, I never felt pressured to buy. He was available for any questions after hours while I was contemplating my decision and always responded to me in a timely manner. The day of purchase, he spent an adequate amount of time helping me get acquainted with all of the car technology and has a follow up orientation planned. I will be recommending Paul to anyone considering a BMW. He was a pleasure to work with and I'm happy to call him my "Car Guy". More
I walked into the dealership with no referral and as a completely new customer. I met Paul immediately as he greated me at the door and he became my "car guy". His professionalism, verve for service, hi completely new customer. I met Paul immediately as he greated me at the door and he became my "car guy". His professionalism, verve for service, his patience were all reasons that I decided to lease my new BMW from B<W of Alexandria. I did shop around and Paul, without question, gave me the best deal and also speant the time explaining all facets of the lease and answering all of my juvenile questions. In a day and age where service is a lost art, BMW of Alexandria and Paul Blakeman have it nailed. I love my new car and will forever be a customer of BMW of Alexandria and especially Paul! Thanks "car guy". More
My experience with Mr. Paul Blakeman, was exeptional. He answered all questions up front and as honest as possible, without being the pushy sales person we all know. The purchse of the vechicle was to the point and efficient, the entire process lasted less than 3 hours. There is no hiden agenda when conducting business with Mr. Blakeman, he strives to ensure all of his clients are satisfied at the time of purchase. The day following my purchase, I took the vehicle on a 5 hour drive. Upon return, the "check coolant level" indicator came on. I returned to Mr. Blakeman with the issue, who had the vehicle in the maintenance bay in no time. Two coolant line connections had failed, causing a coolant leak. Mr. Blakeman coordinated to have the following replaced: Radiator, thermostat, coolant hoses/lines and coolant resevoir. This was done at no cost and completed in one day. I will highly recommend my friends and family to speak with Mr. Blakeman, should they have interest in puchasing a BMW. More
I took both my 740IL and 328i for service here. Service done in time, and Scott was very helpful. I bought the 328i in Certified Pre-owned from here and am very happy with it. Dena Van, the Service Rep is a RIP OFF!!!. She overcharged for services. The Thermostat for a 2003 BMW Costs $56.00. They were charging me over $850.00 to put this in. She is a SNAKE. I called the overcharged for services. The Thermostat for a 2003 BMW Costs $56.00. They were charging me over $850.00 to put this in. She is a SNAKE. I called the manager. He reduced it by only $150.00. When I called her. She was very Rude and Short because I got a discount. DON'T USE HER OR THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICES. My advice is go find out what they say the car needs and go online an purchase the part yourself. After that have some other establishment do the work. Not BMW of Alexandria, in Virginia. More
I have had a great experience with both the sales and service department. Paul was an excellent "car guy" put no pressure on me to buy, and once I decided to buy he handled everything expeditiously. We worked with Paul Blakeman who tracked down the car for us and made sure it arrived in the dealership before our current lease ended, so we could lease the new BMW.We would have preferred leasing another B us and made sure it arrived in the dealership before our current lease ended, so we could lease the new BMW.We would have preferred leasing another BMW 5 series sport wagon, but since BMW no longer makes that model, we've leased the BMW 3 sport wagon. Although it's not as comfortable as the 5, and we miss some of the amenities, it will probably be a good substitution. Paul also explained the "I" system in detail and told about things that we never knew about even though we had the same system for 2 years in our previously leased BMW. The VOB dealer never explained anything to us. Paul is a treasure, a professional salesman, and a wonderful teacher. Thanks, Paul. Now if you can just convince BMW to bring back the 5 sports wagon, life would be perfect. More
Paul Blakeman was very informative, fair, professional and efficient during our visit to BMW of Alexandria. He handled the final purchase and details in a seamless way. We felt like the dealership was st and efficient during our visit to BMW of Alexandria. He handled the final purchase and details in a seamless way. We felt like the dealership was straight with us and wanted us to feel good about what is, admittedly, an expensive purchase. I would add that Levent Inal handled the initial pricing and discussion with us and we were pleased with his courtesy and flexibility to build the car we wanted. And dealership manager Greg Pugh was there as well to provide additional guidance and objective information about the X5. All in all, the whole experience brought no surprises and was stress free which was unusual in our view. We expected this to be a more difficult process and it certainly was not that at all. Most importantly the X5 we bought this weekend drives like a dream!!!! More
I had a flat tire on my 330 ci on the beltway late Friday night. I made it to Alexandria but it was obvious the tire was gone and I would likely need a new rim as well. I usually use BMW-Sterling but b/c I night. I made it to Alexandria but it was obvious the tire was gone and I would likely need a new rim as well. I usually use BMW-Sterling but b/c I was in Alexandria - I called the Service Department at BMW-Alexandria. At 8:30, I left a message as instructed with my phone number. No one returned my call. I called again at 1:00 p.m. and the receptionist connected me with the Servcie Department - it rant over 30 times - (I could hear her reconnecting me each time the alloted unanswered rings were up). Still - no answer. I called back and asked the main receptionist why no one would answer the phone in the Service Department or call me back. She said they were all with customers. really?? Since 8:30 in the morning? Again - I left my name and phone number. It's now 3:30. No call back. I called BMW-Fairfax and spoke with someone in the Service Department right away. I got very helpful information on what to do and she scheduled me for an appointment for Monday. BMW-Fairfax is great. BMW-Sterling also great. BMW-Alexandria - I will never bother you again. More
As a woman, buying a car and walking into that dealer showroom is on my top ten list of things I dread. Now that I've had the experience with working with "my car guy, Paul Blakeman", I can scratch that showroom is on my top ten list of things I dread. Now that I've had the experience with working with "my car guy, Paul Blakeman", I can scratch that item off my list. He is really there to steer you through the process without intimidation or double-talk or "the bla-bla-bla nonstop pitch". He listens and he answers questions. He updates you. He gives you access for any question at any time. So far, he hasn't disappeared after the contract has been signed and my car handed over. I just don't think he'd do that-not his style. He's already been a ready resource for me when I needed a question about my car answered. This is a thinking person's car-you have to develop a bit of relationship with its bells and whistles. If the manual can't help, Paul can-and does. More
