This is the second car we lease from BMW of Alexandria and cannot be happier with the great service received. Paul Blakeman was extremely helpful and patient with me, for which I am most grateful. Dysfunctional Dealership I have purchased a handful of cars both in-state and out of state, this was by far the worst experience on many levels. First, it took over 4 months for them to process tags and registration. They require you to use their “third party Tag Service”, which of course is not free. They take a $500 deposit at purchase and are supposed to refund the remaining balance. However, this was not automatically done, and I had to request for the excess money to be returned! They don’t allow you to register your own vehicle for out of state purchases ($160 fee for the tag service that took 4 months). Along the same lines, when the vehicle was finally registered, they had the plates shipped to the dealership and not to my home. Again, they wanted another $35 to ship the plates to me! Along with many other reviews here, beware of the crazy $800 processing fee for consumer services. Add in the extra $200 for registering the vehicle and $1000 is by far the most I have ever seen from dealership processing fees! Secondly, this dealership interdepartmental communication is horrendous. It honestly felt like a second job having to babysit this dealership to get my vehicle registered. Hugo was quick and to the point with the sale, which I appreciated, however once I drove off the lot, there seemed to be little effort from him. I would be very surprised if they have repeat customers here. It appears no one follows up on the registration paperwork to make sure things are in order? Every 30 days when I would request new temp tags (they were not efficient enough to send them without me asking), there was always an issue. No phone call to let me know something needed resolved. I would receive random emails asking for immediate tasks to be completed. This resulted in me having to drive on expired temp tags multiple times since it took 4 months for this process. I requested to speak with a manager, Sam Lee, and he never called. I called a few times and could only get his voice message. He would then email me later that night or days later with a response. This dealership is very dysfunctional and appears to be okay with poor service. I will not be buying another vehicle from there and would suggest you avoid them as well. More

Paul was extremely helpful and walked me through all of the options within my budget and we pieced to say they really looked out for me both times. Once I decided to move forward, he let Alan know and by the time I arrived to the dealership everything was ready. 5 minutes to sign off on everything and BAM I was a proud owner of a BMW. I would I highly recommend buying a car from BMW of Alexandria. The staff, from Paul to Alan to Lauren, were extremely nice made me to feel that I was a priority. Not rushed but guided in the direction that was best for me. Thank you guys. I truly appreciate it!! More
After extensive research, I finally settled on a BMW X3 as my next vehicle. It’s been a decade since I’ve driven a new car and I must admit, I generally don’t care for being “sold” anything. I found the BMW X3 with all of the bells and whistles I desired online and within 24 hours, Paul Blakeman had me driving it home. He was professional, prompt, answered all of our questions and made the buying process a breeze. We were so impressed we left the dealership with an appointment to trade in our extra vehicle! I highly recommend the staff at BMW of Alexandria. More
Do Not Take Your Vehicle for Service Here!! I own a 2013 BMW M3 and I took my vehicle in for a routine break flush and everything quickly went downhill from there. My car began going into emerge I own a 2013 BMW M3 and I took my vehicle in for a routine break flush and everything quickly went downhill from there. My car began going into emergency mode (limp mode) and after 4 visits to the dealership they could not find the cause of the issue and explained everything was working well in my car . On my 5th visit, noting there was still an issue, they found that they had OVERFILLED THE BREAK FLUID and it was causing an error on the brake booster sensor. They said they were going to repair it and, a couple days later, I receive a call from them explaining my ENGINE SEIZED. After some back and forth BMW of NA replaced my engine, assuming responsibility since it was their techs servicing my vehicle. Sounds like a good turn of events but the day I pick up my car MY HEADLIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS FULL OF MOISTURE AND INOPERABLE. When I talk to the manager about it the issue he said they already replaced my engine (as if it was my fault) and they WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE FOR ME. Mike Hook was extremely disrespectful and I can't imagine how someone like him would be in a position of managing people after seeing how he treats a customer. If you value your vehicle, DO NOT BRING IT HERE. Unfortunately, this experience makes me rethink buying another BMW in the future. More
