I don't usually write reviews of dealerships, but if it was a bad experience, a very bad experience, or a *very good* experience, I think it's important to do so... I recently took delivery of a stun it was a bad experience, a very bad experience, or a *very good* experience, I think it's important to do so... I recently took delivery of a stunning Alpine White E92 M3 from BMW Seattle. It's supposedly one of the last 8 US-spec cars ever to be built (E92 M3 production has long since ended) and I snagged an available allocation (one of two) that Adam at BMW Seattle had unclaimed. Luckily, I got in just in time to configure it exactly how I wanted. Since this is mostly a review, here are the people I worked with at BMW Seattle: Adam Newbold, New Car Sales Manager Karl Enemark, Client Advisor / M Specialist Rachel O'Sullivan, Finance Manager All three were awesome to work with. My initial contact, and consequently also my most frequent engagement, was with Adam. I only met Karl when I finally arrived and Adam sent me over to him to finalize the paperwork and get everything set up (BMW Assist, and that sort of thing). Adam was absolutely amazing throughout the process. Karl was also incredible, and made everything painless, smooth, and in such a way that it did not feel like the typical car purchase. Having participated in almost 15 purchases over the last decade, this is probably the most important thing for me... I don't want to feel dirty after buying a car. Here's my spec: Alpine White Fox Red/Black/Black ZCP Competition Package ZPP Premium Package 2MK M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic 326 Rear spoiler deletion 494 Heated front seats 4MY Carbon Leather interior trim 688 Harman Kardon surround sound system Z06 Black Kidney Grilles Z10 Performance Exhaust Z21 Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps Z22 Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler Z2F BMW M Perf Steering Wheel While we weren't able to factory order the Black Chrome Side Gills and the Black M3 GTS Wheels, I was able to pick up the wheels from Turner Motorsport, and the gills from a different dealership (Adam secured the order and overnighted them for me). He had both the wheels and the gills installed in time for my arrival, and they truly complete the picture in an AW M3, in my opinion (pics to follow). I want to throw in a plug for Turner Motorsport. They were awesome to work with (on the wheels), and shipping was prompt, quick, and ensured that they arrived at BMW Seattle with enough lead time. Since I know someone's going to ask... the deal I got was a solid one, in my opinion/experience, especially given that there were only 8 unclaimed allocations when I finally secured this one. Throw in the UDE incentive ($1000) and the Trunk Money ($1500) that BMW NA was running for August, and I ended up even more pleased. Many thanks go out to Adam and Karl! Despite the inconvenience* of buying out of state, as a California resident, I'll definitely be hitting them up again for my next BMW's. (* out of state purchases require a VIN inspection at the DMV and a full Smog check at a testing site.) More
Seattle BMW is the only place I will go to purchase a car. They are kind, patient and fair in their approach. I love my car and I have Marta to thank for that. I tried to do busines with this dealership via the internet and telephone. I was very interested in a used X3 they had. Bottom line here, I was ignored for 2 days. I needed to get my breaks replaced on my BMW. So I phoned 3 or 4 dealers around town for the best price. BMW of Seattle's quote was $50 cheaper than the quote I received from BMW of Bellevue. So I d phoned 3 or 4 dealers around town for the best price. BMW of Seattle's quote was $50 cheaper than the quote I received from BMW of Bellevue. So I decided to go with BMW Seattle, plus I had just received a coupon in the mail from them offering a coupon for 20% on brake work specifically. The coupon expired on the 10th of the month and it was the 7th when I took the car in, the coupon also stated that I need to present this coupon at the time on writing up the service at the dealer. So that's what I did, I went into the Seattle BMW dealership on the 7th and asked for the service salesmen that gave me the quote on the phone and presented him the coupon. He refused to honor the coupon... he said he'd already given me a good price and he can't take 20% off... At that point I was highly upset, I had done exactly as any customer would have.. phoned around got the best quote and followed the instructions on the coupon to now learn that they will not honor their coupon. Maybe I'm the only one but I see this as false advertising, bating me with a coupon and then switching their story to not accepting the coupon... I'd never heard of anything like this. i'll definitely be pursuing this further with BMW headquarters. More
I've been shopping around for a used vehicle for two weeks. I just happened to come across the listing of the 2007 335i silver @ the BMW Seattle. After countless used car salesmen at reputable, certifie weeks. I just happened to come across the listing of the 2007 335i silver @ the BMW Seattle. After countless used car salesmen at reputable, certified dealerships (Subaru, Infiniti, Honda and Acura), my expectations were jaded to say the least. I inadvertently created this leathery skin to the xxxxxxand tactics of the salesmen. The last used car salesman from Infiniti of Tacoma was so bad that the 15 minutes before I left the dealership he barraged me with the same question 3 times, “Are you going to buy the car or not?”…needless to say, that is how my journey began at BMW of Seattle. I inquired over email to BMW of Seattle for the 2007 335i that they were offering. I submitted an offer and Knight Chang responding within the hour offering for me to come into the dealership in hopes of showing me all the options and benefits of this vehicle, not that it needed it based on the specs that were on the site. I come from a long line of BMW owners, so I wasn’t new to the BMW world. I happened to be heading into Seattle so I called to let Knight know I was coming in to look at the vehicle. Knight was busy but he had Michael Brown awaiting my arrival to tend to any of my needs and show me the car. From introduction Michael set me at ease, though I was ready for the firing to begin. We sat in the car, inspected the exterior, asked Michael a few questions and to the table we went to talk numbers. He might’ve asked if I wanted to test drive the car once, I don’t honestly remember because he didn’t nag me about it unlike many of the prior salesmen from other dealerships (emotional/excitement attachment to the vehicle after testing drive, good tactic). Michael had the email correspondence that Knight and I were discussing on my offer. He brought it straight to his manager and came back with a number. Knowing I was firm on my offer he was honest and told me what his manager was willing to let the car go for out the door, $500 dollars above my original offer. We shook hands and he ensured his manager was good on the out the door price. We took my car out for a test drive, true to BMW performance and amazing knowledge as a sales person from Michael but also the genuine factor of him being a long time BMW owner himself! I had a pre-approved lender but Michael made it easy for me to finance through BMW and at a lower rate. He even offered for me to drive the demo home to get my checkbook since I didn’t have a vehicle to leave in and come back, just so happened to be the same year and make of my vehicle I just purchased but in red. Great idea, allowed me to get use to the car and an excellent extended test drive experience to lock down my commitment to BMW. Upon returning with my check, the remaining process took about 45 minutes, which included Michael giving me a quick rundown of the features of the vehicle and answered any immediate questions I may have had. Once again, gave his personal experience as well as a BMW owner. There is not enough space to continue my excerpt of my amazing experience with Michael Brown, but I do want to bring to attention his genuine character, honesty, subtle approach and friendly demeanor. He completely blew away any other used car salesman I’ve worked with these past 2 weeks that I’ve now joined the ranks of a loyal BMW customer/owner. When I decide to upgrade from my current 335i and head towards that M5, I’ll be hunting down Michael Brown and returning for business with BWM of Seattle! Sincerest Regards, ~P~ Patricia Au More
