WE purchased out BMW a little over a year ago. It had a factory warranty that was still active. We had lights on the dash popping on telling us there was a steering issue and a flat tire. we had them check factory warranty that was still active. We had lights on the dash popping on telling us there was a steering issue and a flat tire. we had them check it out. They said we needed a new battery. A year later we were driving on the same battery. We brought the car in for a check up before the warranty ended. We asked them to do a full check up . They told us it was fine and sent us on out way.. 4 weeks or so later the car wouldnt start. The warrenty was now expired. I replaced the battery with an exact replica battery with better cold cranking rateing. Still would start. Had it towed in and they tell me the starter is out and also i have TWO tansmission leaks. These leaks "I KNOW FOR A FACT" were there before the warranty was up. They refused to honor the warranty. Telling me this was a common issue and even directed me tword a thread talking about transmissions having this issue. This is a KNOWN issue they ignored. horrible company! More
Very poor service. I will bring my BMW to Bellevue from now on. They would not warrantee a 15 dollar part that fell off my car. They said it was stolen even though I assured them I noticed it was loose a now on. They would not warrantee a 15 dollar part that fell off my car. They said it was stolen even though I assured them I noticed it was loose and then fell off on the freeway. My car is always in secure parking. They tried to fix my 2009 3 series when the check engine light was on. They replaced a part that wasn't broken. When I brought the car to Bellevue, they promptly noticed that a vaccuum hose was disconnected. Easy fix. No problems since. They picked me up from work in a dirty smelly car and the driver seemed unhappy to be at work or mad at me for some unknown reason. They were late with the pick up. Unbelievable for a place that sells premium cars at premium prices. Basically, don't go here for any reason. More
I have a friend who claims to have had stellar service from BMW NW - but I'm becoming convinced that he has radically different expectations than I do. My experience with this dealership has been dramati from BMW NW - but I'm becoming convinced that he has radically different expectations than I do. My experience with this dealership has been dramatically varied - had a reasonable purchasing experience and a couple of fleeting positive experiences with the service department on what turned out to be tiny issues and quick fixes. Where this dealership falls flat is in the communications and scheduling areas for non-trivial issues. 1) They appear to keep "losing" my car in their service system and don't seem to be able to associate my vehicle with me - even though I bought the car there 2) LONG lead times are needed for any sort of appointment - recently a one-week lead to have a "check engine" light looked at (other reviewers claim "under-staffing" is the reason - could be valid) 3) They make promises about turn-around time that they can't really keep - and I've caught them being totally disconnected about where my car is in the repair sequence (basically one SA told me the car was in process, and another told me the tech who could handle the problem was off for two days... SA#2 was apparently correct) 4) I couldn't get a straight answer from a few SAs about what (if anything) the dealership did for an annual service... when I pulled the oil filter for a look post-service, the oil was darker than I'd expect for brand new oil, the engine air filter seemed to be brand new, and the windshield wipers were still the originals. The oil service counter wasn't reset, but a few other counters WERE. 3 different SAs gave me different accounts of what had actually been done to the car. One said only the oil was changed, one said the oil wasn't changed, and another said a full annual (not mileage-based) service was done (according to the service book, that's oil, cabin and engine air filters etc.) Due to a complicated scenario, I didn't get any paper documentation. Bottom line is that I'm heading to BMW Seattle for another minor issue (I got a next-day appointment as opposed to one-week-out at NW)... Maybe they'll be able to tell me whether BMW NW actually performed an annual service like they were supposed to earlier this year. If they can, I'll deal with the inconvenience of driving a few extra miles to Seattle for all my future service. More
Last year we purchased new Z4. We ended up buying it from BMW Northwest, and the price and overall experience was pretty good. This is actually second BMW we are buying from BMW Northwest. Initially we ch BMW Northwest, and the price and overall experience was pretty good. This is actually second BMW we are buying from BMW Northwest. Initially we checked out BMW Bellevue, mostly for a test drive (BMW Bellevue is always much more expensive, but we live nearby and it was worthwhile to at least have a test drive there). Z4 is nice (especially 3.5 - with turbocharged engine!), but the price quoted by BMW Bellevue was too high - essentially list price, also they offered very poor price on my 740 trade-in. We also checked Mercedes dealership, as we were considering SLK as an option, but SLK is clearly inferior to Z4 in driving qualities, and price was not good. We ended up going to BMW Northwest. Sales rep was able to offer us way better deal right away so we ordered the car. And when we were picking up the car the deal became even better as there was new BMW promotion and the sales guy offered us to change terms to this new promotion. This was very unusual - sales guy is proactively telling us about a better deal when he already had higher price signed! BMW Northwest sales rep also was very helpful and honest with trade-in - he offered us good price, but also mentioned that I may be able to get even better price in a private sale. I ended up selling my old 740 at craigslist. Overall - BMW Northwest is the place to buy BMWs in this area. Highly recommended. More
no follow up, did not assist in a problem in a new car that was noticed only two hours after getting it home - not a single call back (but tons of e-mails thanking me for spending my money at the dealersh that was noticed only two hours after getting it home - not a single call back (but tons of e-mails thanking me for spending my money at the dealership and asking fro good review). The service level does not even compare to what I have seen in the higher end (before buying the BMW, I have checked out the lexus, Mercd and infiniti) - BMW needs to understand it takes more than just a good car to maintain the edge. We have been shopping for a car for months and got the selections down to basically 3 cars of different make. Like most, we called different dealerships and I was AMAZED by how friendly and courteous peop selections down to basically 3 cars of different make. Like most, we called different dealerships and I was AMAZED by how friendly and courteous people were at the dealers in Fife/Tacoma. We ended up purchasing a vehicle from Steve Gebauer at BMW Northwest. He was very attentive, very patient (he stayed late more than once after the place was closed and answered our questions), tiredlessly accommodate us for different test drives of different cars, extremely friendly, no pressure, got great dollars for our trade-ins (without much haggles). It was a great experience and Steve made all the difference! More

I first took my z4 to BMW of Fife in jan. this year because my top was not going down and latching all the way. well it has been 4 months and have now had my car in there 5 times for the same issue wit because my top was not going down and latching all the way. well it has been 4 months and have now had my car in there 5 times for the same issue with the top. The dealership has not fixed the issue and have now made it worse. The top now sticks up 1.5 inches from where it should be becuase of what the dealership did to my car. They have now said they are not going to take this car back in anymore becuase they are done working on it, and they dont care if the car isnt fixed. They keep trying to make excuses to why the top is working the way it does. All things that will take the blame off them. I am now in the proc. of getting a lawyer, such a pain in the a**. They dont seem to care about there customers at all at this dealership, even BMW of America seems to be the same, becuase I have also talked with them and they just go along with whatever the dealer says no matter if there right or not. The lady I have been talking with at BMW has pretty much called me a lier and in her own ways said I am tampering with my car to make it not work right. If i can do anythng it would be to let others know NOT to go to this dealer!!! If you bring your car to them and they cant figure out the problem, chances are they will end up messing something else up and then leaving you with a car that is worse off then to start with. IF there is anyone else with a z4 that has had a problem with there solf top please let me know. More
The service advisor knew of the specific service requirements that are unique to my car (M3). I presented him with a list detailing things I wanted done or that I needed at the end of the service. H requirements that are unique to my car (M3). I presented him with a list detailing things I wanted done or that I needed at the end of the service. He ensured that everything was completed per instruction. The best part was I got my appointment only 5 working days after calling and was able to pick up my car the same day I dropped it off. The service technicians did lose one spring clip that is located under the micro filter assembly and never said anything about it (missing when I picked the car up), but it’s possible that they didn’t see it. Overall, I had a good experience with this dealer. I would return to this dealer for service. More
This was my first BMW and I was so excited to get it until I had problems with the paint on the doors. The service dept. was rude and claimed it wasn't there fault. I was constantly in there with comp until I had problems with the paint on the doors. The service dept. was rude and claimed it wasn't there fault. I was constantly in there with computer issues. At one point I was driving and all of a sudden the car just shut off. Come to find out it was a bad 02 sensor. If you are waiting on your car for service, you might as well plan on being there for hours. Very understaffed and can't fix a problem the first time, especially warranty work. That makes sense because the factory pays the dealership a lower labor rate and when the customer is paying out of pocket, the labor rate is higher which makes non-warranty work a priority. More
