We have been shopping for a car for months and got the selections down to basically 3 cars of different make. Like most, we called different dealerships and I was AMAZED by how friendly and courteous peop selections down to basically 3 cars of different make. Like most, we called different dealerships and I was AMAZED by how friendly and courteous people were at the dealers in Fife/Tacoma. We ended up purchasing a vehicle from Steve Gebauer at BMW Northwest. He was very attentive, very patient (he stayed late more than once after the place was closed and answered our questions), tiredlessly accommodate us for different test drives of different cars, extremely friendly, no pressure, got great dollars for our trade-ins (without much haggles). It was a great experience and Steve made all the difference! More

I first took my z4 to BMW of Fife in jan. this year because my top was not going down and latching all the way. well it has been 4 months and have now had my car in there 5 times for the same issue wit because my top was not going down and latching all the way. well it has been 4 months and have now had my car in there 5 times for the same issue with the top. The dealership has not fixed the issue and have now made it worse. The top now sticks up 1.5 inches from where it should be becuase of what the dealership did to my car. They have now said they are not going to take this car back in anymore becuase they are done working on it, and they dont care if the car isnt fixed. They keep trying to make excuses to why the top is working the way it does. All things that will take the blame off them. I am now in the proc. of getting a lawyer, such a pain in the a**. They dont seem to care about there customers at all at this dealership, even BMW of America seems to be the same, becuase I have also talked with them and they just go along with whatever the dealer says no matter if there right or not. The lady I have been talking with at BMW has pretty much called me a lier and in her own ways said I am tampering with my car to make it not work right. If i can do anythng it would be to let others know NOT to go to this dealer!!! If you bring your car to them and they cant figure out the problem, chances are they will end up messing something else up and then leaving you with a car that is worse off then to start with. IF there is anyone else with a z4 that has had a problem with there solf top please let me know. More
The service advisor knew of the specific service requirements that are unique to my car (M3). I presented him with a list detailing things I wanted done or that I needed at the end of the service. H requirements that are unique to my car (M3). I presented him with a list detailing things I wanted done or that I needed at the end of the service. He ensured that everything was completed per instruction. The best part was I got my appointment only 5 working days after calling and was able to pick up my car the same day I dropped it off. The service technicians did lose one spring clip that is located under the micro filter assembly and never said anything about it (missing when I picked the car up), but it’s possible that they didn’t see it. Overall, I had a good experience with this dealer. I would return to this dealer for service. More
This was my first BMW and I was so excited to get it until I had problems with the paint on the doors. The service dept. was rude and claimed it wasn't there fault. I was constantly in there with comp until I had problems with the paint on the doors. The service dept. was rude and claimed it wasn't there fault. I was constantly in there with computer issues. At one point I was driving and all of a sudden the car just shut off. Come to find out it was a bad 02 sensor. If you are waiting on your car for service, you might as well plan on being there for hours. Very understaffed and can't fix a problem the first time, especially warranty work. That makes sense because the factory pays the dealership a lower labor rate and when the customer is paying out of pocket, the labor rate is higher which makes non-warranty work a priority. More
I purchased a new 3-series this year with great excitement. I was even excited for my first oil change. That all changed when I got home for my service appt. Upon turning off my car and walking to excitement. I was even excited for my first oil change. That all changed when I got home for my service appt. Upon turning off my car and walking to my front door I noticed all of my oil quickly running down my driveway. I had the car towed back to the dealer and I was told the tech had forgot to put the seal in at the oil filter. Not a good first experience. Additionally the dealer never reset Oil Service timer in the only two times I took my car to this dealer. In buying a bimmer, one expects a high standard of products and service. This dealers lack of attention to detail is dangerous and dissapointing in that it is the only Bimmer dealer within 60 miles of my home. :( More
One thing I didn't like was the fact that they always seem to be "understaffed." It takes over a week just to get an appointment, and then (for me at least), it seems that the service takes about twice seem to be "understaffed." It takes over a week just to get an appointment, and then (for me at least), it seems that the service takes about twice (or more) as long as it should. And each time I mention the length of time the service took, they simply say that they are understaffed and they are working on it.<br><br>My most recent gripe was when I took my car in for a rough engine idle and check engine light. First, they were booked out one week. I made sure to get the earliest appointment (7:30 AM). I got there, told the guy what was wrong, and he said they would get on it, and get back to me. I figured that they would pull the engine codes, check a few things and then give me a call. <br><br>I asked the service guy about how much he thought our visit was going to cost. He said the diagnostic service was going to cost $290 by itself. Then if they find a problem, then they will charge whatever it costs to fix it. I'm sorry, but I think that almost $300 to do a few checks is a bunch of xx. And THEN I have to pay for whatever they find as a result of that diagnostic!<br><br>We left the car there anyways because we wanted to get it done. A family member gave me a ride home and I waited, and waited, and waited. Pretty soon its about 1 PM. I'm wondering what the heck is going on so I drive back over there to see how things are going. The guy says "Your car is next in line, so we'll go ahead and get that checked out. But our techs are at lunch, and won't be back until at least 1:30 PM. So after that, they will get right on it."<br><br>Ok, and WHY did I make the appointment for 7:30 in the morning? So they could WORK ON IT IN THE MORNING. So I asked the guy why I made the appointment so early when they were just going to let my car sit for 7+ hours before they started? Then he went into his speal about how they were understaffed. If you overbook yourselves, that's your problem. The dealership should have spaced the time slots out to balance out the lack of technicians on hand. Something, ANYTHING. <br><br>So then I asked the guy how long he thought the diagnosis was going to take. "Well, since you said it was a rough engine idle that happens only in colder mornings, we were going to plan on keeping it overnight in order to try and recreate the problem." Oh really. Thanks a lot for letting me know. So not only did you let my car sit for 7+ hours before you were going to attempt to get to it, you then were then at SOME POINT going to tell me that you wanted to keep it for another day.<br><br>What a bunch of crap. I am never going there again. I've gone there at least 4 times now, hoping that these bad experiences are just temporary. But now I see that its not just coincidence, but just the way they choose to conduct business. <br><br>I can't even get a loaner car because I didn't buy my BMW from them... What kind of customer service is that? It seems a little selfish to me. If I am going to spend a LOT of money and leave my car at your dealership for at least 4+ hours, I should be able to get a car so I can conduct my daily business. It shouldn't matter where I bought the car. You are getting paid to do the work. The benefits of providing this service your customers far outweighs the costs of implementing it. <br><br>From now on, I will take my car to either BMW Seattle or BMW of Bellevue. More
My fiancee and I went to test drive a car. We found one we liked. The sales person promised he would get back to us the next day, Saturday, with numbers as it was already 7:00 pm (closing). He never got we liked. The sales person promised he would get back to us the next day, Saturday, with numbers as it was already 7:00 pm (closing). He never got back to us. We called Sunday afternoon and left a message. We set up an appt to do a longer test drive on a vehicle I planned on purchasing, however a voice mail msg was received telling us not to bother coming in to test drive as the car had been sold. Never even made an attempt to re-schedule to check out other cars. Not a very personable or friendly invidual. More
Service is BAD. Tried to change me $200.00 for five minutes worth of work. I had heard bad things about this dealer, but since they are close to home I thought I would give them a try. Had them activ minutes worth of work. I had heard bad things about this dealer, but since they are close to home I thought I would give them a try. Had them activate my alarm and change some personality settings on the car. This takes about 5 minutes to do and they changed me for two hours of work. Not a good way to make a customer since I had the car in for warrany work anyway. More
