He was very helpful from the start. We ended up staying roughly 3/4 hours through negotiating and make sure I'm purchasing the right vehicle as my personal investment. Over all, I'm a very tough customer, and Andre and his team were able to meet my tedious demands and standards. Would purchase from again under the right terms and conditions, definitely recommend! Safety Hazard Vehicles, NOT SERVICED when Sold to the Public I was looking for a new/used vehicle preferably a Nissan Maxima or Altima and wanted a fully loaded model. After searching online for a few days, I sa I was looking for a new/used vehicle preferably a Nissan Maxima or Altima and wanted a fully loaded model. After searching online for a few days, I saw my car listed a decent price and decided to go view and test drive the vehicle at Axis Motorcars 682 Garfield Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07305. After some discussion with my salesperson, inspecting the vehicles interior & exterior (I was not able to test drive the vehicle as it was blocked in by numerous other vehicles at the time), I decided to purchase my 2013 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL. My salesman initially offered me a high 18% interest rate which I was in no way going to agree to, so he sends in the so called “Finance Supervisor” to haggle with me for a 14% interest rate in which I declined and after the “Finance Manager” comes out we finally settle on a much better 10% (which was the maximum I would be willing to pay). I went to the dealer late in the evening and paid $1000 promise money to hold the vehicle until the next day when I could complete the transaction. Later that night I went home and checked the website to see if my car was still being listed and it was at a much higher price than I inquired about. The next morning I called the dealership and asked why the car was still being listed and at a higher price and was advised that because I did not complete the purchase they did not remove the listing and the pricing was subject to change at any time. I demanded my hold money be refunded and the manager asked me to come in. I also noticed that the receipt of payment for the hold money did not indicate the business name nor address just the amount I paid and the date. When I arrived the next afternoon I was advised that they would honor the pricing and they drew up the paperwork for the purchase, the loan terms and down payment was settled and I picked up my vehicle on Thursday, April 4, 2019. After driving the vehicle off the lot, the next day I noticed that my car was hesitating and a little jumpy upon acceleration in first gear. I was very concerned about it and called the dealer back to make them aware that something was wrong. I was told to bring the vehicle in for inspection of the issue on that following Monday. I made arrangement to leave work early anxious to find out what might possibly be wrong and sent a letter in writing via fax asking for a copy of the vehicles service records. When I arrived I reiterated that there was a problem and was told that they would take to vehicle to their “auto shop” at another location off-site to be checked out. I sat and waited for 4 HOURS for my car to be fixed and when the manager returned he informed me that I only needed an oil change. I stated that an oil change had nothing to do with the car hesitating in 1st gear but was assured that the vehicle should start driving better. After a few days the car hesitated slightly but not as badly as before. On a heavily raining early morning about a week later, I was driving on I-95 South in my vehicle and hit a puddle while driving in the left lane. All of a sudden water started pouring into the interior floor of my car and splashed my legs and my lap. I never experience hitting a puddle outside the car and all of the water coming inside of the car. I was in shock and very upset, I called the dealer later that day and informed them of what happened and was advised to once again being the car in for inspection. The next day I was advised that the seal on the driver side kick plate was worn, allowing water to come into the cabin, they resealed it and I was on my way BUT at this point I was getting very wary about my purchase. The hesitation in 1st gear was coming back as well which I discussed with them at the time AGAIN. My temporary NJ tags were coming close to expiring within a few days and I called and called to inquire about how long my NY registration and plates would take. I was being stalled out and told that they were still waiting for them to arrive and it would be a few more days. I needed to have the car inspected and was waiting for my paperwork so that I could do so BEFORE the 30 days NJ Lemon Law warranty ran out. Conveniently AFTER the 30 days was up and two additional weeks after the temporary NJ tags expired I received my registration. I took my vehicle for inspection and to my surprise I was told that it did not pass and required a few repairs. Lower Control Arms, Rear Stabilizer Bushings, Rotors & Brake Pads, Two New Tires AND safety lights on the console as well as the exterior. The repair cost was in the excess of $1500 to pass inspection. The dealer sold me a unsafe vehicle KNOWING that the control arms were burnt out BECAUSE they moved the two worn tires (caused by worn control arms) to the rear and replaced the front tires, also the passenger side rim cracked (due to the control arms being greatly worn and the wheel unable to absorb impact) so they replaced the rim and never reprogrammed the new rim/tire to the car. I called the dealer and they told me to come back in (AGAIN) and when I got there they told me that they would not honor any required repairs to pass inspection. This dealer is a scammer and a fraud who does not service the vehicles prior to selling them to the public. They sold me a safety hazard and refused to do the right thing by me. They purposely delayed my registration/ inspection documents long enough to get out of making any required repairs to the vehicle to ensure it passed inspection and for me to no longer be covered by the 30 Day NJ Lemon Law warranty. They have terrible customer service, and don’t care about people and their families driving in unsafe cars. They all about the money PERIOD and will get you into a vehicle at the HIGHEST interest rate they can so they can make more on the commissions from the lenders. BE WARNED - DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHCILES from AXIS MOTORCARS, 682 Garfield Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07305. You will be scammed and your vehicle will have major issues that YOU will be responsible to pay for because they will stall you out just long enough for that NJ 30 Day Lemon Law to expire. More
Disappointment Purchased a car on Saturday, by Sunday morning rain was inside vehicle and an unbearable noise. Sent email to Dealer Sunday morning several calls made Purchased a car on Saturday, by Sunday morning rain was inside vehicle and an unbearable noise. Sent email to Dealer Sunday morning several calls made no reply. Monday received a reply to email by Samantha sales person stating manager will contact me. In the afternoon received call from Sergio-manager advising that I should have my car be seen by a mechanic of my choice, however once I informed him the dealer will be responsible for any and every charge, he retracted his advised because they might provide a ball park figure. Sergio provided appointment for Thursday and after an hour drive he was unavailable. After 3 1/2 hour wait informed they are unable to do anything as they are not able to see the issue. It is impossible for the issue of the vehicle to be seen. Extremely disappointed with the service and my purchase! More

review was removed on Axis site so I’m making 1 on here So I drove 3 hours away (from Albany, ny) 6 months pregnant to get to this place when I went down there the first time it was completely my fault beca So I drove 3 hours away (from Albany, ny) 6 months pregnant to get to this place when I went down there the first time it was completely my fault because I didn’t have the title to my vehicle I did sit down with Peter and Peter. We spoke for awhile and crunches some numbers. I was told that CapOne only offered me 8 grand to finance (lies). Nothing happens that day so we drove down 3 hrs again the next day with all paper work in hand ready to go. They tried to force me in a vehicle that was MORE then the Cadillac that I wanted they said that my bank would not allow me to get the Cadillac but they would allow me to get the suburban which I did not want!!! Through my capital one auto finance company they already know what vehicle I want. I already know I was going to trade in my 2006 Audi A6 and put 3000 cash down so I already knew my payment should’ve been $271. So when we got there they they said my monthly payment will be $391 which I did not want. The manager said that my capital one finance company said I should get the $2500 warranty in the gap coverage which brought my monthly bill to 391 so what I did was call capital one on the phone capital one stated that they did not have a application in the system for a Cadillac the only submitted the application for a suburban so that means they lied about putting the application in for the Cadillac capital one auto finance also said they would never tell a dealership to offer a one of their clients a warranty that’s up to the dealership they also said that they offered me a leaven grin not eight grand towards the vehicle so that place is such a The manager said that my capital one finance company said I should get the $2500 warranty and a gap coverage which brought my monthly bill to 391 so what I did was call Capital One on the phone Capital One stated that they did not have a application in the system for Cadilac the only submitted the application for a suburban so that means Axis lied about putting the application in for the Cadillac capital one auto finance also said they would never tell a dealership to offer one of their clients a warrantee that’s up to the dealership they also said that they offer me a 11 grand not eight grand towards the vehicle so that Place is such a liar joke. When the manager realize that I called and spoke with someone from my bank all of a sudden I got everything I wanted. The only thing is my payments were not to 271 but they were 288 which is still good. Needless to say I got the Cadillac that I wanted my payments were decent I went home. But the next day a piece off of the side armrest on the driver side came off I took a picture of it send it to Peter. Peter said he will send it to his manager I never received a phone call back. So I text Peter a couple of days later and Peter said his manager was out of the office. I then received a call from the title department a couple of days after I spoke to Peter. The lady’s name was Stephanie she was calling because she said there was a issue with my title I needed to call first financial so they can get a lienholder release I called and spoke to first financial with Stephanie on the phone the lady says she can fax over the lien release but Stephanie said that she can mail it the lady said it will take 5 to 7 days for the lien letters to be received. I then asked Stephanie if she can have someone contact me because I wanted to know if there was some sort of warrantee that came with the car like a 30 day warranty or a 90 day warranty she didn’t know the answer so she said she’ll have someone contact me no one contacted me that’s when I decided to do a review after I did the review the manager finally called me (ONLY BECAUSE OF THE REVIEW) he called me to ask me if there was anything wrong with the vehicle. I explained to him the situation. Didn’t even care about that but he asked me about the review that I put. I put a review up because it’s a honest review and I want people to know that you guys are shady he then went on saying that my title was fraudulent I told him he was lying and I can three-way call Stephanie from his title department to prove that first Financial said they were going to send the letter either via fax or via mail and Stephanie wanted it sent via mail when I told him I can three-way call Stephanie he hung up on me. I haven’t been able to reach them every since I don’t even know if I have a warranty on the car. My check engine light came on. I haven’t had the car for three weeks yet these people are very unprofessional and the only reason why they got one star is because of Peter. I went back on here to see if my review was removed and lo and behold of course it is removed everytime I see that this review is removed I’m going to go back on here and put this review up here so you guys can see how this plays treats people if you read through the comments if they didn’t delete it it’s people that saying if you left a good review they’ll give you a $15 gas card before you leave there their lot. They actually pay money to remove the really bad negative HONEST reviews!!! Oh and if you are trading in a car make sure you tell them you want to transfer your plates because if you don’t tell them you want to transfer your plates they will charge you $350 for DMV fees and I still have not received my plates and it’s almost been three weeks!! Update: it’s is NOW 5/21 and my tag the gave me Expires tomm 5/22 and I DO NOT have my plates yet!!! More
