To Whom it May Concern... I received an email from you concerning my recent visit to your dealership regarding a simple oil change. I had setup an appointment for an oil change at 1pm on the afternoon of Thursday Nov 19th. I did not get out of the dealership until after 3pm. It was a simple oil change. When we arrived I was told it would take 2 and 1/2 hours(we are backed up was the reason given).Can you please explain the purpose of an appointment if the wait time is that long? It does not make sense when you have an appointment setup. I was then sent an estimate that stated the promised time for the work to be completed was 5:30 pm. We promptly complained to our service advisor and she again stated 2 and 1/2 hours but would see what she could do. Then she came back stating we were next in line for the oil change. This was about 20 minutes after we arrive. We were pleased at that point. We waited another 1 hour to 1 and 1/2 hours and heard nothing. Did not even see the advisor in the building. My wife had gone to the restroom and actually saw the advisor walk by her with her belongs(backpack etc) so we believe she left for the day. So much for next in line! We believe we were told that by her because she knew she was leaving for the day and would not have to listen to our complaint when we determine we were not next in line. Next when the oil change was completed we saw our truck being pulling out and saw the tech deliver the paper work to our advisor desk. If we did not seen that we might still be sitting there. We immediately approached another advisor to ask where our advisor was and were told they did not know where she was and they offered to help us. We asked why if you setup an appointment it takes 2 and 1/2 hours for an oil change. His response was abrupt and unpleasant ( the appointment is to only start the paperwork for the service ). To be honest there is nothing about the paperwork that is not already provided when you make your appointment. If you cannot adhere to appointment time then maybe you should reconsider allowing appointments for oil changes.
