I will thank to Steve, Service manager. He was very diligent and helped me get the problem checked. Regarding the low coolant level, there was no clarification. Let's hope it doesn't happen He was very diligent and helped me get the problem checked. Regarding the low coolant level, there was no clarification. Let's hope it doesn't happen again. Worst car buying experience I’ve ever had from start to finish. Bottom line, they will tell you everything you want to hear just to get you to sign on the dotted line. Once you sign you’re on your own. If finish. Bottom line, they will tell you everything you want to hear just to get you to sign on the dotted line. Once you sign you’re on your own. If you decide to buy a used car from this dealer make sure you bring a mechanic and do a thorough inspection of your own before closing the deal. The vehicle I bought had to be jump-started just to go for a test drive. It was sent to service where they assured me the batteries were fine and the voltage was normal. The test drive was mainly city driving with traffic so I never got to test the vehicle over 35-40 mph. Again, I was reassured in the finance office that the vehicle charging system was fine before finishing the paperwork. On my way home I got the vehicle on the highway where it began to shake and pull to the side. The vibration coming from the front end was enough to shake all the mirrors. I contacted the salesman and informed him of the issue I was having with my newly purchased vehicle at approximately 6:00 pm as I drove home. The following morning I planned on returning to the dealer to see if they could resolve the issue. When I tried starting the vehicle the batteries were dead. I had to phone a friend at 8am to have them jumpstart my vehicle. As I waited I looked underneath the vehicle to find oil on my new driveway which appeared to be leaking from the oil pan. Once jump-started I drove to another local Ram dealer and had them take a look at my vehicle. A ticket was generated and a diagnostic tool was connected to my truck. A “low voltage” trouble code was encountered and I was told I needed two new batteries (the same batteries I was told were good to go by Aventura Chrysler Ram about 14 hours prior. I returned to Aventura Chrysler Ram with this new information and asked them to sell me a different car. The finance manager, Mike Katz, told me that couldn’t be done because I had already signed the “as-is” paperwork and the contract was binding. I was told to take my truck to service, but it had to be jump-started again at the dealer before I could leave sales. I was given a loaner vehicle and was told my truck had to stay in service where they would make everything right. I was told the batteries would be replaced, the oil leak would be addressed, an alignment would be provided, the shaking at highway speeds would be resolved, and the vehicle would be delivered to my home so I wouldn’t need to drive back to the dealer to get it (1 hour each way). After 5 days I was told the vehicle was ready to be picked up. I questioned why I had to pick it up since I was told it would be delivered. The service advisor (Julio) told me he was not aware of such arrangements and would look into it. After several hours going back and forth with dealer staff I decided to drive to the dealer to pick up the truck myself. I asked for an invoice which shows everything that was done to the truck for my records. The invoice shows that both batteries were replaced, the oil leak was fixed, and the tires were balanced and rotated. When I asked if the alignment was done I was told they would not do the alignment and it wouldn’t be needed. Once the truck was brought out to me I quickly noticed the same two worn out tires located at the front of the vehicle. I have before/after photos of the wheels and tires which confirm the tires were NOT rotated as the invoice stated and the cluster of three large weights were still in the same position on one of the front wheels. The front/left tire is also a different brand and tread pattern from the rest and it was still in the same position after service. On my way home I got on the highway once again and learned that the vehicle still pulled toward the shoulder and the vibration at highway speed remained. In the end I’m having to take my newly purchased truck to another dealer and foot the bill to get it to a point where I feel safe driving it. Bottom line, I will never return to Aventura Chrysler Ram. More
