Terrible Customer Service I had a very negative customer service experience with Mercedes Benz Autohaus On Edens. I test drove a AMG63 Wagon on the lot. The car was not sold at I had a very negative customer service experience with Mercedes Benz Autohaus On Edens. I test drove a AMG63 Wagon on the lot. The car was not sold at that period of time. Immediately following my test drive, I agreed to purchase the vehicle. We agreed to pay $20k over MSRP. Nobody had agreed to purchase it at that point in time. We began to fill out paperwork. Ten minutes into the paperwork, we were informed that we may no longer be able to purchase the automobile. Another family who had test drove the vehicle before us, but had not yet made a decision as to whether to purchase the vehicle. The Sales Director (Mark Hoegler) then proceed to make me, my wife and our three children wait for 20-30 minutes while the family decided to buy the vehicle or not (and enticed them by indicating that we were waiting to purchase it). We literally sat and waited and watched (after agreeing to purchase the car) while the other family decided whether they wanted to buy it on the same terms. They eventually decided to buy it - we were given the option to join the waitlist - which is approximately 18 months. Really poor experience during Easter weekend for our entire family. Should have been a fun experience but turned out to be kinda sad event for the whole family. Wildly unprofessional. Interestingly enough, Autohaus is the only Mercedes dealership in the Chicagoland area that follows that sales policy (i.e., it is not the first to agree to purchase, but the first to test drive that has the right to purchase). While the G Wagon is nice, you dilute the brand by treating people like garbage. More

B service Brought my car in on Wednesday at 7:30 am for a B service. Was given a loaner with only 3 bars of gas. Turned out the service took 2 1/2 days! I was given updates "(not done yet") at the end of Wednesday and Thursday. I have always given a very high rating for service but this time I was incredibly disappointed. Apparently, the service department was understaffed and over loaded. Tom did his best to assuage my frustration.Additionally, I think all loaners should be near full before loaned to clients. More
