AVOID AVOID AVOID. Bought a $10K used vehicle. SURPRISE! $6K of repairs needed...or so we thought. Once we notified the dealer of the issues they told us that we didn't have a warranty and car was sold "A $6K of repairs needed...or so we thought. Once we notified the dealer of the issues they told us that we didn't have a warranty and car was sold "AS IS"....luckily we had the 90 day warranty document that they somehow didn't have. $4k covered under warranty and $2K we paid. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time under the warranty period to fully vet some oil related issues, and have now learned that the engine needs a rebuild for $5K to $6K or new engine at $10K to $12K. They are not willing to just take the car back or extend the warranty. They are willing to take the car back on a trade-in subject to its "current condition"...i.e. bad engine. So....they sell a bad car at a no dicker sticker market price, then their best offer is to use the car as a trade-in (value adjusted for engine issues) on another car. Why would I trust the next sale from them or give them more money? They suggested that we should have bought the extended warranty but we all know that these are mostly commission and payouts are difficult to get. Besides they highlighted their "50 point check"....which apparently did not catch all the oil leaks or any of the other repair issues. Still in the process of trying to find someone that can rebuild this engine cost effectively. So....a $10K car will end up with between $11k and $17k of additional repairs. Don't expect them to care about the concept of customer service and repeat buyer value. I would avoid this dealership! More
Very disappointed. Have emailed and called Finance since November 2020, after signing the requested forms for Autonation to reimburse a VSA and Vehicle Protection Plan for a vehicle we traded in for a newer November 2020, after signing the requested forms for Autonation to reimburse a VSA and Vehicle Protection Plan for a vehicle we traded in for a newer Toyota vehicle. Called the Plan Administrator, who stated they had never received the forms from Autonation Toyota. No responses to my emails or messages left. Need this matter to be resolved. More
So disappointed. Have been calling finance since August to get a VSA and maintaince reimbursement. Have left multiple messages and e mails, spoke with many people who also left messages. If you are looking for a good customer service, please do NOT come close to Tempe Toyota AutoNation. If you are looking for honest & reliable management, stay away from this place. They put me twice on hold for more than 30 minutes without even notifying the right person I needed to talk to. I already bought a RAV 4 SUV on 9/11 and return it back same day for some issue I experienced. They promised to find me another similar car with similar features. They sold my car the following day without finding me a replacement one. Even though they told me that the deal stopped same day I returned the car, I got a call from the dealership finance asking me to check car VIN number!! Not only that, I am receiving invoices from Toyota to pay my loan that I do not have. Can you believe that?! My advise to you ... Stay away from AutoNation Toyota Scion Tempe. They are disaster! More

I purchased a car June 11, 2020. They didn’t even send my registration in until July 3!! Nobody cares to help. I have no registration, no title and cannot drive since temporary license is expired!! Lied to me. Sold me a car said, Car was Certified, had problems with car then found out car wasn't certified. I purchased a used Prius last year here, and was sold a $2855 Gold Vehicle Protection Plan in Sales, as this was a hybrid and this plan would cover us from, I quote, "all of the electrical issues that can arise." Well, today I brought my vehicle in for my first ever claim, my headlight is flashing, and was told by the Service Manager Tommy that they would start by charging me $69 for a diagnostic fee, then over $300 to determine if it was a bulb - I had to buy a bulb for them to test it! LOL After doing a bit of research, this is actually a factory recall - they told me none of that. Really?! So very deceitful. So sorry management said, quote, "Guess you should have bought the Platinum Plan." This afternoon I brought vehicle to a reputable mechanic, it is not the bulb, but the ballast headlight control unit. Never again will I buy or service any vehicle at AutoNation Toyota Tempe. Stay away! More
