Not the best experience this time. After waiting at least 10 min while 1 service guy was checking in 1 car another service guy came over. I had an appt for the next day but something came up and so I was dropping it off the evening before. He seemed irritated walked away and grabbed the envelope you fill out after hours and said fill this out and leave it on the dash, rather than actually checking me in. The next day I hadn't heard anything from my service advisor (9am appt) and it was 130p, so I called and left a message. Still hadn't heard anything around 3pm so I called again, got transferred to his voicemail again. I called back to see if someone else could check on my car. The person got him on the phone, he gave me a reason why it took so long and told me it was ready, no reason as to the poor communication. When I went to pick it up there was no cashier, after waiting a few minutes the man at the rental counter helped me. My paperwork wasn't there (this was between an hour to an hour and half since he told me it was ready) so he had to go find the paperwork. There was only 1 valet getting cars so that was another wait, but he was very friendly. More
Id give my sales guy, Josh Balboni 5 stars. He was wonderful in regularly checking allocations for the vehicle I wanted. He was also excellent at keeping me updated throughout the process. My vehicle finally came in and it was time to buy. The day my vehicle came in, Josh even came to pick me up. The problem started when it came time to pay for my car. I was lucky to be in a position to pay for my car in full. The Managers did not like that all. I was pressured and bullied by 3 different Managers to get financing. They told me the only way they take a deposit for a car is if a person intends to finance through them. I had the money to pay for the car in full yet, on the day of delivery, i nearly had to leave without my car. I spent 5 hours at the dealership that day, having to stand up against a litany of people who tried to convince me, I should pay to borrow money that I didnt need to borrow. Ultimately, I did in fact get to leave with my vehicle. I have been very worried since that my wonderful, attentive and helpful sales guy was going to face backlash as one of the managers seemed to imply it was his fault that i was going to pay and not finance. When I put the deposit down, i did have to fill out an application for financing however, that made sense. Obviously they want to ensure that a person can in fact pay for the car. At one point I was told well, we held the car for you with the understanding you would finance. No, the car was held with the understanding I would purchase. Furthermore, even though the car was still being built and was reserved for me, it was still on their website. I was then told well, we didnt take any other deposits on it. Again, I am here to buy the car the day it arrived, so there was no need for back-up deposits. While this dealership has no mark-ups, the pressure i was put under to pay extra via financing was awful. I was held hostage by their unrelenting tactics. I had been so excited waiting for that car, my first ever new car, so excited the day it arrived and they just beat me down with the pressure. Again, I worry that ultimately, my sales guy is going to be held accountable when 1: he didn't know I wasn't financing(I had read that you should never tell a dealership up front you are paying cash) and 2: a person should be able to purchase a car at purchase price, without penalty or pressure.
