AutoNation Toyota provided the worst dealership experience I've ever had to endure. On Friday, they listed a used Porche Boxter. I called Saturday, talked to the salesperson Erjon, and got an o experience I've ever had to endure. On Friday, they listed a used Porche Boxter. I called Saturday, talked to the salesperson Erjon, and got an out-the-door total price that I agreed to. I was told Autonation is a "no-negotiation" dealership and "the price you see is the price you get." I was given a written offer with a final price that I could sign. Not so. I was told I could not put down a deposit until Monday because the team needed to put new tires on the car. I called first thing Monday and was told that the dealership decided to increase the price by $5,000 (almost 20%). The GM and used car manager (John Naumcheff) refused to speak with me. Erjon told me that while the customer is not allowed to negotiate, "corporate" reserves the right to change (e.g., increase) the price. This is absolutely unacceptable. We negotiated a specific price and I was ready to put down a deposit. The dealership stalled and then increased the price on me, backing out of the agreed-upon deal. I will never shop at an AutoNation again. This behavior is unacceptable and scammy. More
