Be careful what you buy. Purchased a Toyota Tacoma a few years ago that is still under factory warranty. Discovered a Toyota paint defect that I never received a notice on for their (040) Super White paint. Reported the issue to AutoNation Toyota and was told my vehicle was not covered. Then, told it would be covered under factory warranty. However, they offered only to spot paint the vehicle which would not solve the issue correctly. It has now been two months with no resolution for the paint issue. Purchasing a vehicle for almost forty thousand dollars for the paint to fall off with only 20k miles is not acceptable. Tried to work with Autonation Toyota Pinellas Park and there is no follow up with the customer. I was just told to keep calling back and checking. How long has Toyota Manufacturing and AutoNation Toyota known about this paint defect? Was it known when the vehicle was sold to me? Look up paint peeling Toyota Tacomas on the internet before buying a vehicle. There appears to be a large number of customers having the same problems. More
