I recently purchased a 2012 Scion XD 5 speed. My salesman, Dante, was more obsessed with getting his name on some board. He repeated this plea several times. I bought the car here because I didn't want to wait for a transfer at Fletcher. I was hoping to use the College Grad incentive, but Toyota Financial Services had such a ridiculous interest rate, the $1000 rebate was worthless. I actually left, but ended up coming back when Dante offered a substantially better interest rate. The actual buying process after I said, "Let's do it," was several hours long. I had purchased my motorcycle brand new, and it was nowhere near this long and painful. I had to return for my car's green slip for registration a few days later. The people I spoke with this time were much more pleasant. Overall, I'm really happy with my car. I just wish my buying experience had been either shorter or more enjoyable. Hopefully when I take the car in for service, these thoughts will diminish. I still recommend this dealership, just not Dante. More
This dealership is wonderful and the customer service is sensational. I was with my Mom, Linda Pizarro, when she negotiated with Sean on buying my 2005 Prius. He is very professional and he knows the product very well. He assisted us all the way until the end. He even sat down with me and showed me all of the features of the car before I drove it. I am now a happy and proud owner of a Toyota Prius. Thanks to Sean for all that he did! He was great! More
Like my sister, I also purchased a 2005 Toyota Prius with Sean as my dealer. We talked a lot about the car, and Sean answered every question I had and then some. He also answered questions about other cars. Sean as my dealer. We talked a lot about the car, and Sean answered every question I had and then some. He also answered questions about other cars. We even talked about playing basketball at the same Rec center. If I have to buy another car in the future, I would make sure to check if Sean Van Horn is available. More
I like the location of Toyota Scion on Sahara. It is central, its plan is efficient; the showroom, the finance offices, the service area and the availability of all models you can browse at one time. central, its plan is efficient; the showroom, the finance offices, the service area and the availability of all models you can browse at one time. What I like the most is the attitude of the sales person I worked with, Sean Van Horn. My coworker, a satisfied customer who purchased a Prius, recommended I should go to him. Sean made me feel I was very important by giving me 100% of his attention. Listening to his sales talk gave me the impression that he is very proud of the product he is selling. He spoke about all the nice features of the car, let me test drive the car and then sat down with me to discuss the price and the trade in value for my car.The he left me so I can freely think about a very important transaction I was about to make. I told him if he would give me an offer that is hard to refuse he would get the deal. That's exactly what he gave me, so I went home with my 2011 Toyota Prius, which I am very happy and proud to drive. More
I contacted the dealership after seeing an ad for a used vehicle on http://cars.com. I was contacted by Carl Gaglione from the Internet sales department. He was very responsive by email and phone and we i vehicle on http://cars.com. I was contacted by Carl Gaglione from the Internet sales department. He was very responsive by email and phone and we interfaced extensively. Carl went out of his way to help us out and we negotiated several items remotely, as I live in Los Angeles. Carl and I arranged for a deposit/hold on the car and I flew to LAS. At the airport, I was met by Gene McCauliff. He is one of the kindest and personable car salesmen I have *ever* met and it was a pleasure working with him throughout my stay there. I'm certain the dealership made $ on the sale however I still feel as if I got a deal - even WITH the flight costs and drive back. I would not have been able to get at any dealers in Southern California. For example, we visited Norm Reeves Honda "Superstore" (Huntingon Beach CA) before I went to Desert Toyota. The vehicle there was 2 years older, had three times the mileage, and had a heavy cigarette odor. Norm Reeve's sticker price (which they were firm on) was only slightly less than what we ended up paying. We are very pleased with the kindness of the folks working at Desert Toyota and with our purchase. Highly recommended - especially Gene! More
I first spoke to Sean when I called about a used Prius I saw on their website. The following day I went to check the car. Sean explained to me the benefits of owning a Prius. I had a 1996 Forerunner to trad saw on their website. The following day I went to check the car. Sean explained to me the benefits of owning a Prius. I had a 1996 Forerunner to trade in. He told me the selling price of the car and the trade in value for my Forerunner. And then he backed off, which I appreciated because I can then think and compare his figures with what I had from my research ( I am a Librarian by profession). I asked for a little bit more on the trade in value of my car and I didn't ask to bring the selling price down anymore because of Sean's performance. I like it when I don't feel pressured to buy anything. That car was for my son. I needed another one for my daughter, the same model as the first one. After a week, he called me because another one came in. Because Priuses are selling so fast, I went to see him right away.He did the same sales talk, we test drove the car, he said it was in a minor accident with very minor damage as reflected in the CARFAX. I fell in love with my son's Prius and now this one, that I was tempted to get me a new one. I asked Sean to tell me how much the trade in value for my 2004 Camry was. And he told me, I asked to bring it up a little bit, which he did, and he said he won't charge me for the tint and the molding on the new Prius, So in a span of 2 weeks, Sean sold me 3 Priuses. I had gone to 3 Toyota dealerships and had dealt with a few Salesman, but I declare that Sean Van Horne is the best Salesman any dealership should have. If he can sell 3 cars to a single parent all at once, he must be very good. He should be promoted to head Toyota's Marketing Department. More
Kwasi and Bob were great! I went in alone without my husband and didn't know what to really expect. They were very knowledgable and treated me with respect. Honestly, wish I had received data on State employee discount since I received info on Desert Toyota contracted discount program at work, (my employer could only give me that lead and their contact info discount since I received info on Desert Toyota contracted discount program at work, (my employer could only give me that lead and their contact info.) That left me feeling flim-flammed either from work or the dealership. You know the feeling. Anyway, that biggy aside after doing dilligence in shopping for best overall price after narrowing the model down and finding the car that met my wants and functionality, I'm happy. Think I made good value decision on the Scion over the HHR. Linda More
