My vehicle was dropped for service on Wednesday, August 11th. I received an update on Friday, August 13th. I was told my vehicle’s battery (which I had just installed on August 7th) was bad/potentially had 11th. I received an update on Friday, August 13th. I was told my vehicle’s battery (which I had just installed on August 7th) was bad/potentially had a bad cell OR it could have shorted. The service department put in a new battery and stated they ran a ‘health check’ on the vehicle and found nothing wrong, just that the battery was bad. I picked up my vehicle on Friday, August 13th. As I was turning left on a busy highway, my vehicle died in the middle of the road with cars coming down nearly t-boning me at 60mph+. Due to Toyota’s lack of service, I almost died. In no way is this an exaggeration. I am a small person. I had to push my car out of the way on BLUE DIAMOND RD in the middle of a Las Vegas Summer! So much for the ‘health check’ on my vehicle. I feel like the battery replacement was an intentional bandage. A crappy, temporary fix that would only force me back to your service center for more costly repairs. If there was a suspected ‘short’ why didn’t the mechanic/tech find it? How do you explain sending me home in an unsafe vehicle? Unbelievable negligence! I took my vehicle to Toyota because I trusted that it would be properly diagnosed and FIXED. I called twice to speak to someone after this incident and never received a call back. Zero concern. This isn’t some shallow Yelp review complaining about a food order getting messed up. Toyota failed. I am angry and disappointed. You hear stories about mechanics and dealerships with their shady behavior. I will never take my vehicle to this Toyota service center again. More
