This is the third vehicle we have purchased at Toyota Cerritos and the first time we had a negative experience. The sales rep, Jonny Tapia, was informative and very helpful. Unsure why he attempted to explain how the vehicle worked, he mistakenly gave us wrong information and he only spoke directly to my husband even though I was purchasing it (a woman). We did not finance the vehicle. The time we waited to see the finance person was extremely long but thankfully the sales rep used some of this time to review the vehicle. The dealership did not meet our expectations on this purchase. More

Took my truck in for a scheduled oil change. Took two hours for them to get the truck on a lift. Received a call stating that two screws on the factory skid plate were stripped and I would have Took two hours for them to get the truck on a lift. Received a call stating that two screws on the factory skid plate were stripped and I would have to pay to replace them. The truck has only ever been serviced by Toyota technicians, which means the last tech stripped the screws, not me. Have to argue with the manager to get them to replace the screws at no cost to me. When the truck was first returned to me after completing the oil change, it was clear that the skid plate was removed off the vehicle and poorly reinstalled, screws and bolts were all loose or not even in all the way, with additional damage to the skid plate from breaking off the screw heads of the stripped screws. Had to get the manager out of his office to look at the truck. They sent it back and reinstalled the skid plate properly but some screws were still found loose. Also I found my tires over inflated after the service. Usually have good experiences with this service center but for whatever reason, it seems the service technicians are being careless with their work. What should have been a two hour service turned into 4 very frustrating hours. More
