When I purchased a used 4 Runner from Pete he recommended I get the Windshield Protection Program to go along with it. I took his advice and I am now VERY happy that I did, as my windshield suffered a chip I get the Windshield Protection Program to go along with it. I took his advice and I am now VERY happy that I did, as my windshield suffered a chip and subsequent crack during vacation last week. As a frequent traveler and resident of Colorado, it is a matter of WHEN, not just IF, my windshield would get chipped. Pete's advice was right on! More
Stay away from Go Toyota! They are not honest. I have never posted reviews on a website before, but I was so upset at Go Toyota' practices that I felt obligated to let people know. I was told that there never posted reviews on a website before, but I was so upset at Go Toyota' practices that I felt obligated to let people know. I was told that there were two used minivans meeting my price. When I arrived to test drive the minivans I was told that both minivans were sold the previous evening and that there were two trucks that were available at a price of $5,000 more than my budget. They used the cheaper minivans as a ploy to get me to the dealership. More
I bought a 2012 Sienna over two months ago. The car is great; the dealer experience has been abysmal. Here are the issues I have had: - took over 3 hours from the time I committed to buying the vehicl great; the dealer experience has been abysmal. Here are the issues I have had: - took over 3 hours from the time I committed to buying the vehicle to the time I left the dealership (I know. I was a fool for sticking around). -they over-charged me by $1,000 on the sales tax. I have still not been refunded this money -the salesperson told me he would remove the bike rack from my previous vehicle for me to pick-up later implying he would do this if I would give him only "excellent" marks on the customer service survey -the finance person (who also spent 20 minutes trying to convince me to buy an extended warranty despite me telling him "no" multiple times) neglected to have me sign one document that prevented me from registering my vehicle. I didn't learn this until I went to register the vehicle. The dealer knew this for two weeks, but did nothing about remedying the situation until I called about the missing document. They then took another three weeks to get this completed resulting in nearly $150 in fees and penalties from my county -I have placed about 10 calls with the dealer to speak with someone to get reimbursed for the $150 that were a result of their incompetence and have yet to be able to speak with a live person who can help me Don't know if my experience is an outlier, but I have been kicking myself in the butt for the past two months for not purchasing the Odyssey at the Honda dealer across the street. The employees at Go Toyota Arapahoe are the nicest, most knowledgeable staff I have ever dealt with when buying a car. We were able to reach a fair price and close the deal in record time. My family members and I have purchased many vehicles with Pete's assistance and have been very happy every time. I like being able to do all the work over the internet and just show to pickup the vehicle. Pete's assistance and have been very happy every time. I like being able to do all the work over the internet and just show to pickup the vehicle. Pete has always treated me like one of his family members and everything is honest. Something you don't see much anymore. I recommend Pete to everyone I know and will definitely continue dealing with him and the dealership in the future. More
Update: Please read the end review at the bottom. I'm from Michigan and I traded up to a 2010 Highlander. Stupid me, after signing everything my wife noticed a $399 charge for some kind of windshield I'm from Michigan and I traded up to a 2010 Highlander. Stupid me, after signing everything my wife noticed a $399 charge for some kind of windshield insurance (the windshield already was damaged when we bought it!) it involved some stuff like Rain-x that they apply to the windshield. They applied it to an already damaged one! Also there was a $399 theft insurance added in. (Beware, this is on their cars!) When I questioned it the salesman, Mike Cho showed me on the window sticker where it was. I totally missed it because it they strategically placed it where you don't notice it. I really feel like an idiot for not seeing it. The worst thing though was after the 5 hours it took to finalize everything (included swapping out some worn out tires the salesman claimed were new) we were ready to drive away and I asked for the other keys and fob. The guy tells me then that there is only one key and fob. No Valet keys and no extra keyand fob for my wife. Of course by now the service department is closed so we can't get one. I called them several times 2 days later (after the weekend) to try to see if they'd give me a break on new ones but you can't talk to a sales manager without leaving a voicemail! Of course they won't call me back. I'm left with paying $116 for one key and $160 for a fob. I didn't ask what a valet key would cost. I'm getting an extra key from ACE hardware for $70. Stay away from this dealer or at least pay close attention to the details. It ruined my vacation. Another thing when they swapped the tires (and wheels) they didn't reprogram the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) so now that doesn't work. If they read this and give me some satisfaction, I'll amend my review. How hard would it have been for the salesman to tell me I would need an extra key? Now I'm 1200 miles from home and I hope to God I don't lose my only one. A few days after writing this review, I was contacted by the Sales Manager Ed Jones and after listening to my story, he said he would help. A few days after I got back to Michigan, I received a new head restraint and a check to cover the costs I incurred getting a key and resetting the TPMS. I have upgraded them from a 1 star to a 3 star as a result. That's what I call good service. More
About 4 years ago I purchased my first new vehicle and I have to say at that time I was very impressed with Go Toyota. I ran into a few issues but my sales advisor was able to resolve all of these issues ho have to say at that time I was very impressed with Go Toyota. I ran into a few issues but my sales advisor was able to resolve all of these issues however this is where the positive experience ended. I learned very quickly that the service department at Go Toyota is a mess. I was used to years of drive through lube shops (yeah they aren’t the greatest but it was an older vehicle) that got you in and out in 15-20 mins so why does it take Go an hour with 2-3 bays with only 2 cars? I have tried service appointments, off hours and no matter what they take forever. If this was the only issue, I could stop but no so is the case. I have taken my SUV into this location over 20x and I can honestly say that I have never had a positive experience. There is always something that they do that turns what could be a positive experience to a negative. I have lost confidence in this location because they commonly pull the bait and switch on you. They advertise a online a special and then once you are stacked in line they always have an excuse on why it’s not valid or they say they have no idea what the special is. They spent millions on renovating the show room but haven’t spent a dime on employee training. The one thing that they excel in is poor customer service. You have Fred, the sales manager who promises a call back but doesn’t fulfill, Wes who says he is “changing the service department” but after a few months I haven’t seen a difference (the last 5 guys said the same thing), the parts counter guy who cares less about what your issue is and the cashier who puts the B in itch. Last time I checked, these were key people that are customer facing and some are the last chance you have to provide a positive customer experience but yet they seemed to be trained to leave you with a negative experience. If you think great customer service is so 1950 and that your hard earned $$ should go to a company that strives for customer DISsatisfaction then go to Go Toyota. If you dream of long afternoons watching daytime TV at a car dealership while your oil is changed, go to Go Toyota. If you for some reason cannot leave the confines of Havana and Arapahoe, then you are stuck with Go Toyota, I feel sorry for you. A dealership doesn’t get a “Poor” rating online by making the customer #1. If your employees are not happy, then they are not going to make the customer happy. In the end the nice thing about living in the Denver metro area is you have choices, Go Toyota is not the only dealership in town. I really wanted post a positive review for them but 4 years of poor service is long enough. The best advice I can offer is do exactly what their slogan says, GO! ……GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP! Stay far away from Go Toyota Arapahoe. More
There is no doubt that the dealer tried to out me into a bad decision on my trade in. At first they verbally offered me $20-22 k for my trade which, just to get me into the dealership. When I pressed them bad decision on my trade in. At first they verbally offered me $20-22 k for my trade which, just to get me into the dealership. When I pressed them on it it became $16k. This on a car that is being sold by dealers for $26k and over. The car is in high demand so they must have been screwing me, trying to. I am tired of being screwed by these dealers and recently it seems when I have looked for carsmitbseems worse. You would think it would be better since we are in a recession. Needless to say, get your facts. check out Black Book, not just Blue Book. Check out out Edmunds, but most importantly check out what dealers are selling the car for. Be careful. More
One of the best experiences a person can ask for, they are one of the busiest stores I have ever been to, yet they treated us like family! Byron was the sales manager and knew how busy they were yet, too are one of the busiest stores I have ever been to, yet they treated us like family! Byron was the sales manager and knew how busy they were yet, took care of us from start to finish and even helped take stuff out of our old car and put it in the new one IN THE RAIN! Josh was very personable and treated us like he was buying the car as he discussed every detail! Jeff the GM was incredible and made a point to tell us thank you. There is a reason they get all of the business they do, there is no other Toyota store in the state that treats you like family when they are selling 50+ cars a day (so it seemed) More
Refinanced my FJ,which I bought new from Go. Got the extended warranty with "free" oil chsanges and rotations. The bottom line: If you buy a car from these people you don't want to deal with their s extended warranty with "free" oil chsanges and rotations. The bottom line: If you buy a car from these people you don't want to deal with their service department. Their customer service needs a lot of improvement. When I first bought the car I went there for an oil change and was told it would be maybe a couple hours, so I didn't bother going back for such a small maintenance duty. I went other places because who wants to sit around for two hours for such a minor bit of maintenance. When I refinanced and was sold on the extended warranty, I was assured that I would be in and out with an oil change and rotation in 45 min to an hour. "Guaranteed" was the term used as I remember. Called the other day to get my fj in for an oil change and was told it would be a two hour wait. So I made an APPOINTMENT for later in the week and was told 45 min to an hour. Pulled up this morning and there was a line there about ten to 15 cars deep. When I asked some kid that worked there where I should go for an oil change and a tire rotation when you have an APPOINTMENT the pointed to the back of the line and said "there". Not having two hours to wait around to get minor maintenance done to my car I left and will continue to go back to where I had always gotten these things done in 45 minutes. Bottom line, even though I like the vehicle, after dealing with Toyota for the last five years I will never buy another Toyota. They act like they're doing you a favor or something. And who needs the headaches just for an oil change. More
