Buyer Beware: Auto Nation Arapahoe salespeople were helpful, communicative and charming until something went wrong with my brand new vehicle. At which point they said "That’s your problem!". I paid helpful, communicative and charming until something went wrong with my brand new vehicle. At which point they said "That’s your problem!". I paid cash and traded in my old (great, working) Rav4 for a new Rav4 PHEV on Thursday afternoon, having paid a deposit several weeks earlier. I drove the new car straight home to charge it. On Friday morning (16 hours later) I got about 6 major engine error codes when I went to drive it. When I reached out to my salesperson (who had been so helpful up to the point I wrote my check) - he told me that I was on my own, and would need to work with their service dept to figure out what was wrong with my new car, with less than 50 miles driven! This seems completely unethical. If a dealership sells a non-working car, shouldn’t they be accountable to make it right? I’ve been loyal to Toyota for decades, owned two Toyota cars for more than 15 years, and worked with several great locally owned dealerships in Colorado. So it never occurred to me not to trust a new car from Toyota. But our experience this past week at Auto Nation Arapahoe has us wondering whether our trust is misplaced. As of today (Monday) my new car is still in the shop, I have heard nothing from my salesman or his manager and I am SOL. More
Sergey at Autonation Toyota provided a smooth, transparent car-buying experience helping us find a used Nissan Rogue for our granddaughter. Approachable, friendly, and not pushy. He was knowledg transparent car-buying experience helping us find a used Nissan Rogue for our granddaughter. Approachable, friendly, and not pushy. He was knowledgeable about this car and other cars on the lot. He was very thorough in pointing out all the car’s features, especially the safety features. He went through the paperwork efficiently, explaining the final closeout process step-by-step so there were no surprises. Excellent experience from start to finish. More
