Wow. Just wow. I go to return my 2018 Crosstrek, and I originally leased the vehicle in Maryland, but lived in Delaware on the border. As I'm going to turn in my vehicle at AutoNation Subaru West, I ge originally leased the vehicle in Maryland, but lived in Delaware on the border. As I'm going to turn in my vehicle at AutoNation Subaru West, I get notified from an associate, I might be eligible for $1000 back in equity from my lease because the vehicle has appreciated in value. So I think, ok, an extra grand always helps. But unfortunately for me, I don't have my registration for the Delaware plates with the vehicle and therefore don't get the $1000. Nothing to do with the vehicle itself, no scratches, no broken elements, the vehicle is in great shape, appraiser is happy - AutoNation wouldn't cut me a check because I didn't have information on paper (that they could get from the Delaware DMV themselves) about the registration of the license plates for the vehicle ... in Delaware. Even though I now live in Colorado and I just want to TURN IN the vehicle. I have never heard of a better bait and switch technique where one thing COULD be offered IF things work out BUT as soon as I'm at AutoNation, no ... we can't cut you a check ... sorry. Now, let's not forget, I have my license, all the info about the car lease / purchase with me. The original contract copy from the lease ... EVERYTHING ... but they won't cut me a check because I don't have the original registration from Delaware from 2018. So ... am I crazy? I don't know but since AutoNation will be making thousands of dollars off of the vehicle, you don't think they could be more honest, especially when I've leased several cars from Subaru in the past, they could stand to their word? Nope, guess not. More

We’ve lived in 3 others states before moving to our family has ever bought cars from. We’ve leased at leased 4 models in the past 5 years from them. We’ve lived in 3 others states before moving to Colorado and have bought or leased cars in all of them. None compare to the loyalty and thoughtful customer service from AutoNation. Service (oil change/tire rotation/inspection) was satisfactorily completed however I was told vehicle would be ready by 5pm when I dropped it at 9:45am. I arrived at 4:55pm and they let me know vehi satisfactorily completed however I was told vehicle would be ready by 5pm when I dropped it at 9:45am. I arrived at 4:55pm and they let me know vehicle was not quite finished. I waited outside watching the sunset for the next 30 minutes. Seems like a phone call or text telling me to come at 6pm instead of 5pm due to "we were backed up" would have been appropriate. This left me with the impression that the service center time is more important to them then the customer's time. More
