Took my car for maintenance under Autonation's Auto Vehicle Protection plan. The plan requires topping of fluids: Windshield, coolant and others. Inspite of telling the service manager to fill them, th Vehicle Protection plan. The plan requires topping of fluids: Windshield, coolant and others. Inspite of telling the service manager to fill them, they did not do it. Neither the windshield nor the coolant was topped off. It seems they do not care vehicles under AVP plan. Disappointed with Autonation Subaru West. Will not ever visit again this dealership nor will renew my AVP plan. More

I brought my car in because it smelled like something was burning everything I drove. They checked it out and said it was both bad gaskets leaking. When I asked what the estimate for fixing it would be, the guy over the phone said "typically for something like this is $5k". I thought that was ridiculously expensive for my vehicle. When I asked how they'd fix it, he said "they'll clean the headers and then use silicone to fix the leaks. " I asked why it was so expensive if they weren't actually going to replace the gaskets? And he said he'd talk to the technician to get me an exact quote and call me right back. 4 hours later, and no call back, along with the shop being closed at this point. I called around to some of my friends who know more about cars than I do, and every single one of them told me to shop around beef cause the price was ridiculous. They also said, to not get my car fixed there since they wouldn't actually be fixing the issue, just putting a bandaid on it. The next day, I waited until the afternoon, expecting a call back from the shop, since I left a detailed voicemail the afternoon before raising the quote. No call back. So I called twice and finally got someone to answer the phone. The gentleman I spoke to said the quote was for $2500 and that they'd definitely be replacing the gaskets. This sounded much more reasonable than the last guy I spoke to. Needless to say, due to the lack of knowledge of the last rep, and lack of customer service, I decided to not get my car fixed here. More
