We offered to put a deposit on the vehicle to secure it prior to it "being ready". She said it was ours without a deposit being necessary because she could reserve it for 72 hrs. She then sold the car within the 72 hrs when it was finished mechanically to end her month. She lied to her superiors saying she tried to contact us, which she didn't! Obviously the culture there is to say anything whether true or not! After I complained, the General Manager gave me his passive aggressive BS rhetoric which of course was worthless. More

Had another dealer check and confirm that this part was missing, and that it should be on the vehicle (factory-installed). Car was delivered to Autonation Subaru Hunt Valley with the part installed (again, from the factory - not at port), but a week or so later I bought a car without one. This lead to a whole other host of issues, but the worst experience was going into the dealer to speak to my service advisor and seeing the service managers catch a glimpse of me through the window and walk to the back office. They knew I was angry as they'd been giving me the runaround for weeks, they knew they had screwed up, they knew I wanted someone to fix my issue but they kept deflecting to avoid admitting any sort of fault. One of those that gave me the runaround is the current GM, so I'm sure it's still the same cesspool. I ended up calling Subaru of America who set them straight and fixed the issue - but I had already done a tour of Subaru dealers in my area of Maryland and had terrible experiences at all of them. As a result I no longer own a Subaru, and likely would not buy another, especially from this dealership. More
Simply Spectacular...this place is worth checking out My experiences at Hunt Valley Subaru have been truly stellar. Both the process of purchasing a car there, and the after-sales support have been first My experiences at Hunt Valley Subaru have been truly stellar. Both the process of purchasing a car there, and the after-sales support have been first class. In late May I purchased a WRX STI from Banchi. I was looking for a completely base model STI because that was what was in my price range. Hunt Valley had several STIs in stock, but none of them were base models (all had the upgraded Recaro seat package, push-button start, short shift kit, and various other upgrades, so we’re taking about $3,500+ in options over the base STI.) I test drove one, I really liked it, I researched what the TrueCar fair market price was and it simply was not in my price range. I expected at this point to go to another dealership since I could not afford what they had. However, Banchi came back with two offers I did not expect. First, she discounted this upgraded vehicle almost as low as the fair market price of a totally base model. Plus, she also offered me about $2,500 more for my trade-in than I expected. All of a sudden, I could afford this car – so I was pretty happy. That night I priced out similar cars at other dealerships and no one else came even remotely close to Hunt Valley’s offer. So I purchased the WRX STI from Banchi the next morning. I had a late-morning meeting that I was worried I was going to miss. Banchi committed to having the entire sale wrapped up by a set time. She delivered on this commitment – the sale and financing process was quick, easy, and painless, and I was out ahead of schedule. The process of going to the dealership, them casually offering a test drive, and aggressively discounting their pricing without being aggressive towards me made this a very positive experience. Hunt Valley Subaru also gets extra points for a pricing structure that I understood – the price they quoted me was the actual price I paid. Again, this was really nice as it saved me time and prevented unnecessary stress. About a week and a half after purchasing the car, I finally got around to fully detailing it. Upon doing this, I noticed that one of the tail lights had a spider web crack in it that was hard to see unless you were up-close in bright light and the car was super clean. The point in me noting that is because I could not say with certainty whether or not this happened after I purchased the vehicle…it may have been like that before I bought it, or it could have happened in a parking lot since I purchased the car – there is no way to say with certainty because it was so easy to miss. I showed this to Banchi, who then showed it to the head of the service department. I expected to be told, “hey, you purchased the car, you signed off on the condition, so this is your problem,” because at this point Hunt Valley Subaru had absolutely zero obligation to do a thing. But Hunt Valley Subaru went the extra mile. They told me that they could not say with certainty either when this happened, and that they were going to replace the tail light free of charge for me. They followed through and did exactly that. They did not have to, but they did, and actions like this tells me Hunt Valley Subaru wants my business and genuinely cares about me both when I buy a car and after I purchase it. This again saved me time and money, and prevented unnecessary stress. Building upon that further, the service department waiting facilities are extremely nice, and the service department staff have been great to work with. Several people, including the service manager, Eric, took substantial time out of their day for me to bombard them with a boat load of questions regarding the care of the STI’s EJ257 engine. For those considering a WRX/STI/BRZ, Hunt Valley Subaru service is very friendly towards those who use their cars for track days, and is friendly regarding the use of premium oil for the EJ engine that provides superior shear stability than the OEM Subaru oil (equating to superior bearing protection) (some other dealerships are not nearly as friendly about these things.) Do I recommend Hunt Valley Subaru? With enthusiasm. This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve purchased quite a few cars. Banchi was absolutely awesome. If you are considering a Subaru, it’s worth dropping by to price a car and value a trade-in. More

We worked with Josh Wenderoth, who was super patient with us as we came and went multiple times asking to test drive different models and go over trim levels in great detail. When we were finally ready to make a decision, we got a great deal and everyone that was part of the buying process made it go smoothly and painlessly. We definitely recommend AutoNation Subaru Hunt Valley! More

I had done my homework and I thought I wanted/needed a 2018 Subaru Outback, but I needed to test drive it first. The moment I parked my old car, salesman Josh Ingram smiled, shook my hand, and quickly eliminated all my fears. He patiently and expertly answered all my questions about the Outback and it's terrific safety features. Josh's positive, "can do" attitude helped pave the way to my new love for Subaru. There isn't anyone out there that works harder for his customers than Josh Ingran! Instead of being nerve wracking, the experience was hassle-free, almost effortless. I feel I got a good deal on my new Outback and a fair deal on my trade. Everyone I worked with could not have been nicer! More
Very happy with my buying experience. We have bought three previous cars here, so we decided to try again. I'm glad we did. Our previous salesman (Steve Scott) was busy, so while we waited, we were introduced to Corbin, a product specialist (I think that was his title). He answered all of our questions about the Legacy we were looking at. He is NOT a salesman, so we didn't feel any pressure at all from him. Working with him saved us a lot of time that would have been spent waiting for our salesman to become available. When we finished asking him questions, Steve was still busy, so we were introduced to Ty, another salesman. Ty was friendly, patient, and well informed about the Legacy we were looking at. After driving a Legacy similar to the one we were interested in (the car we liked was on the showroom floor, so we didn't ask to drive it), Ty worked with us to arrive at a price that was agreeable to us. The offer for our trade was in line with what I expected, so the next day, we agreed to buy the car we were looking at. Like the previous purchase experiences, this was as stress free as we wanted it to be. Also, the sales manager, whose name I forget, was also pleasant to work with. A few days after picking up my new car, I had occasion to use the service department for a minor problem and I was pleased with the way they handled my problem. More

My sales person Joshua was about 20-30 minutes late to our appointment, because of a lunch break, people got to eat. We went on a test drive then ran the numbers to see what kind of deal could be had. The dealership got me where I wanted but come to find out the interest rate was not correct for the loan terms. Also, when I came back in to consider buying another vehicle, lower model, is when things really turned for the worse. Joshua was finishing up a previous customer, so we waited patiently while he wrapped up with them and the dealership searched for our potential new car. We were told it would be another 10 minutes, they were making calls to other locations, minimum 45 minutes later no update as to how the search was going. Meanwhile we did our own search and found the car we were looking for at another dealership, called them to make sure it was still available, then told them we'd be there later that evening. We approached the manager Nate stating that we were tired of waiting in the dark and he began to give us an attitude, like we were at fault. Then after he told our sales person Joshua, he also gave us an immature mumble as he walked away from us, stating that we wasted his time, when actually, on that day, he and the manager wasted ours. After seeing their true personality come to light we were glad that we did not give them our business. FYI, when we got to the other dealer later, we were on the road in our new WRX in about 2 hours, and also we found out that Nate the manager was doing a corporate no-no by driving a WRX as his corporate vehicle(they should be driving a vehicle of lesser demand, and a WRX does not fit that criteria).
