I was in for a warranty recall on on 11 year old car. Very happy they took care of it. On the other hand, my car has 40,000 miles and they recommended that I replace my timing belt. This is generally recommended at 90,000 miles but never earlier than 60,000 miles. So this seems like an attempt to make profit where this is not needed. More
