Love my new car. My Tucson has fabulous safety features and luxury extras that I am enjoying. My sales person was very good before and after the sale. Shawn Simpson r My Tucson has fabulous safety features and luxury extras that I am enjoying. My sales person was very good before and after the sale. Shawn Simpson really listened to my requests and was intuitive about what I needed to learn in my after sale training. My hybrid clocked in at 47 mpg yesterday. How cool is that? More
We bought our Sonata PHEV new because it came with a lifetime warranty for the hybrid battery. After 5 years and 61,000 miles the range had dropped in half. This degradation accelerated after year three lifetime warranty for the hybrid battery. After 5 years and 61,000 miles the range had dropped in half. This degradation accelerated after year three. I’ve been trying to get Hyundai to replace the battery for 2 years. Their warranty states that they’d will do so if the battery degrades below 70%. Every service department said that they’d need a failed diagnostic to do so, including this one. If I were reviewing how well Hyundai honors their warranty I’d give 0 stars. Preamble over. The car finally gave a yellow triangle, exclamation point, “HEV” warning. I kept running and drove straight to Autonation and left it running. I had talked to Brett Adelman in advance about the battery and fortunately he was working. He kept the car running, had a tech get right to it, and within an hour told me the car would be getting a new battery under warranty. Most of that hour was spent on the phone with Hyundai getting approval. I was offered a loaner and told the battery was back ordered but it should be no more than a month and might be just a few weeks. Eight days later I got a text saying the parts were in, the tech was starting the job, and the car should be ready the next morning. Three hours later Brett called to tell me the car was ready! Our car drives like it did when new. I went 32 miles on a full battery on the first drive. It’s rated for 28 miles. It had been down to 15 miles. I look forward to going back to gassing up once every 3 or 4 months. Besides Brett, I’d like to shout out Cole as well. We didn’t think we’d need the loaner at first. It turned out that was wrong. I swung by the dealership unannounced just to see if they had any fuel efficient cars available. They’d just gotten an Elantra Hybrid back from a customer. Cole spent 20 minutes cleaning and prepping the car himself. I’m pretty sure that’s not in the job description of a service writer (I used to be a service writer). Overall, I was completely satisfied with the service I received. I’m a very happy customer (of Autonation Hyundai of Hilton Head. Hyundai of America should have approved this service 2 years ago.) Knowledgeable salesman, no strong arming sales pressure, and offers more bells, whistles, comfort and safety in their fleet than their competitors. I was pleased with the speedy service your dealership gave me when I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for its last warranty service. What I was very disappointed with was the way I was approached about costl gave me when I brought my Hyundai Tucson in for its last warranty service. What I was very disappointed with was the way I was approached about costly services that I did not necessarily need. For instance the rep recommended I balance my tires because he saw a little wear to the tune of $151. Don't you rotate the tires at these check ups and don't balance??? I said no to that. Secondly the rep came to me saying my filters were dirty and after 3 years and 21,000 miles looked like they should be changed to the tune of $151. I did the filters and asked for the old ones back. I looked up the cost of those filters and how to put them in and I could have bought them for about $25 and taken 20 minutes to put them in. I think that I got ripped off. I would say that after spending a lot of money to buy this car, that I should find another service business. I am not happy. More
This dealer is deceptive in their practices of jacking up the price of their new vehicles with dealer add-ons that are overly priced and in some instances downright useless. the price of their new vehicles with dealer add-ons that are overly priced and in some instances downright useless. More
