We bought a car from Autonation Panama City. We then had issues with our disabled daughter and extra medical expenses so we decided we couldn’t afford the car and tried to return it. We were a few hours outside the return window and they would not budge. The main manager pulled us into his office and laid into us saying we’d threatened them and was very hostile towards us. We explained our situation and that we’d been up all night in the hospital and he said it was stupid to think lack of sleep meant we couldn’t do basic maths as the return window was five days and not six. Luckily our son videoed all this and we have consulted a disability lawyer who says they’ve definitely broken several laws. More
