They keep your vehicle for multiple days without touching it. I took it in AGAIN for the same issues and after 3 1/2 weeks of not having my truck they finally replaced the transmission (only 8K miles on the it. Was contacted by Sam Palmer to look at my 2019 Volvo XC90 that I was selling online and had requested a quote via an online sales website. Sam's offer came in about $3000 below my highest offer (Carvan XC90 that I was selling online and had requested a quote via an online sales website. Sam's offer came in about $3000 below my highest offer (Carvana, CarMax, Volvo and Chevrolet) and I told him it was okay, I was selling to Carvana. He asked how much they offered and I told him 34K. He said the best he could do was come up to 32 or 32.5. I said no problem, I'll sell it to Carvana. I went back to work and about two days later Sam called me back and said his manager had told him that this vehicle was 'in their wheelhouse' and they'd like to see what they can do to make me an offer. Because I had to drive an hour and a half to Carvana, I said sure. Showed up to the dealership (about an hour away) and he pushed me off onto another salesman. That salesman didn't understand any of the previous discussion and offered me 29.5, $1500 below their previous offer. When I explained that I had an offer of 34, he immediately went to the manager and returned with an offer of 32. He said that was the best the could do because the tires (4 years old) were dry rotted and needed to be replaced. Disgusted with the lies and waste of time I walked away. I sold the car two days later to Carvana for the agreed price of 34K and had a check deposited into my account within about a day. Sam then texted me to say 'thanks for stopping by... and I look forward to earning your business'. I told him he had wasted my time when he knew full well what offers I had and he then denied it. These folks are just slick suited salesman that'll say anything to get you in the door. My advice, do business with Carvana or the other dealers that will give you a guaranteed price before you waste time driving over to AutoNation. More
