Walt Gage is my car salesman referencing the purchase of a new 2012 Mustang. Mr. Gage went BEYOND and above the "typical," services provided by a salesman. He searched for, found, and had the car I designed delivered to Mike Shad Ford Orange Park, FL within 2 days. Further, he became actively involved with the manager until the deal was "A go!" Walt Gage provides the true meaning to "How to be an excellent car salesman!" He never answered the cell phone when he was speaking with me, took care of specific details including but not limited to Syncing processes, and called the day following delivery inquiring to if I was satisfied with my new purchase and stated I could call with any questions or concerns. I truly appreciated driving off of the lot in an immaculate clean vehicle with a full tank of gas knowing that if anything went wrong, I could phone Walt Gage. I trust Mr. Gage because he listens, discusses the facts, and is honest. Then, he makes possible, purchasing a new vehicle, without any hassels, without the bargaining game, and with the BEST price the first time "money" is communicated. Also, when it is time to pick up the car, Walt Gage goes over it with a fine tooth comb as if he was getting ready to hand the car over to a family member. He is the BEST!!! Mike Shad Ford is blessed to have such an employee. I have bragged on the purchase including the process! The parts prices on my invoice were marked up 25.8% above MSRP because they were purchased through the service department. Mike Shad sells the same parts at their parts counter or online at fordparts.com (s MSRP because they were purchased through the service department. Why should we pay 25.85 ADDITIONAL MARKUP on parts just because we are also paying for their technician to install the parts? I won't make this mistake again. More
this was the WORST Dealership I or my Wife have every try to buy a SUV from ......Worst. Wednesday night I came acroos this SUV on line , sent a email to the dealer and they sent it back saying come on in as to buy a SUV from ......Worst. Wednesday night I came acroos this SUV on line , sent a email to the dealer and they sent it back saying come on in as the SUV was on the lot ready for me to test drive .The first day was a Thursday. So my wife and I came in asked about the SUV and was told they did not have one and showed us a 2008 ford 2wd .I said I was emailed that you had one and was readt to test drive asked the sales man to check with the e-sales person ,after being passed around to three different sales persons !! looked at The 2006 Lincoln Navigator at a FORD Dealership the car was dirty not ready to be looked at ! Test drove it the car was pulling to the left and dvd did not work nr the awd / 4wd also had 2 bald tires on the back with 2 new tires on the front , 2 different brands !!. Pulled back to lot asked the sales man to check this out ......He said ; this not a new SUV and some things will be broken and not work ....I said ; WHAT ! Asked him to get the Sales Manager Chris came out said the SUV had not been preped or service yet . Asked us to wait inside he would call the Tech to come test drive and look at the SUV .After 30 minutes i walked out side were Chris was smoking a cig. and said we have been threw 3 sales persons and have yet to find out anything as we are interested in the SUV . He said i will go inside and find out whats going on. He came over and said if all checks out are you wanting to buy this SUV we said yes ask if we had atrade in we said maybe . Then he showed us a bill of sale sheet and said he would sellus the SUV for $ 11,854.53 +++ witch came to 13,859.77 we said as long as the 132 point check on the SUV was done The pulling and tires were put on same brand and dvd working , he said ok. So we waited for a hour he came over ( Chris) said; the Tech found out the tires in the back are bald if we would put new tires on the car all would be better and we had to but a whole new system as the dvd did not work ( $800 ) . We asked did he do the 132 point check and the dvd is seperate and shows to only $300 from the retail break down you have here on this paper work . So Chris and the salesman at this time is Jim stood up said they will get back with the tech and let us know! So another 30 minutes go by we have been here now for three and half hours with the runaround . Jim walks back over starts talking about small talk why we waited . 30 more min's go by . we said we are leaving to go get somthing to eat as it was almost 5'pm and hungry Jim stood up walked up to the front talked to Chris as we walked out the door Chris said i'm talking to the Tech now . We said find call us when you know we are going to eat . he said are you coming back we said call us . About hour later Carlos calls us asking if we were coming back we said has Chris found out anything . Carols said Chris has left for the day . Wife said ok then call us friday the next day and let us know and we will come back. Friday we called left a message for Chris no call back. About 3pm Jim called wanting to know if we were coming back up to MIKE SHAD FORD . We asked what did the Tech find out He said he did not know ,then we said when you find out call us we like and want the SUV just need to know what is wrong and that they do the 132 point check. At 5pm Carols calls and said everything checked out on the car it was ready to go so we asked him to fax over the paper work he said ok never did as He never asked for our fax number !He also wanted us to put down $500. dollars as a buyer binder .We said we would come in Saturday am and drop off a check for $500. as we did .Fathers day weekend was this week. At that time Cyndi handed Chris the Check . After we drove away and on the other side of the bridge we get a call from carlos said we needed to sign some papers my Wife said you can fax them to us and by the way do you need our fax ! number and could you fax those papers from Friday as we never recieved them ! when we came home Sunday No paper work !!Also we recieved a email fro Gene Robbins asking us how was are visit and was there anything he could help us with !!! We called and left a message no call back ...Go Figure... So I emailed him asking was this a email you send out to everyone OR are you really interested and hearing about the runaround we are getting !! Yep , your correct no email or call back from this !!! Monday Cyndi called and ask for Chris left on 4EVER HOLD !! so Cyndi called back and ask for Carlos , Jim picks up the phone Cyndi asked was the SUV ready jim said know we also asked to fax the paper work to us !!! when Jim or whom ever sent the papaer work eveything was checked as being done and in good order !! Cyndi circuled the tires, dvd, front end and faxed this back as signed other papaer work.The next day Carols called and said , they had found other items wrong with the SUV and was not going to sell the SUV we said we want the SUV and would like to know what and how much it would cost , Carlos said he would get back with us . at 5pm Cyndi called talked to Carlos he said ;something was wrong with the shocks and would cost $2800. to fix ...Cyndi asked to talk to the Tech and Ted talk to her Cyndi, telling my wife that the SUV sat in the same place for " DAYS " and he notice it was leanig so, Ted asked if anyone had touched the SUV they all sais NO !! So it sat for 4DAYS so how could they done the 132 point check !!He then told my wife that he would have to fix this we said how much would it cost for a conversoin he said about $ 800. he would call us back....NOT !! So the next day we drove up there and my Wife talked to Ted for about 20min's he said they found another promblem with the transrers case grinding and had his best man checking it out !! He also said the tech that said; He checked out the SUV was in trouble and had a talking to and that Gene had called Ted in his office and asked about this matter as he had recieved a email about the SUV must of been mine !!! Yep, again no call back so the next day wife called and Ted is of for the day !! Then Carlos called us back and said they decided not to sell the SUV......WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this is How.. You take Care of Your Customer. Gene Robbins the G.M. never called us nor returned a email . NoOne every asked us about a different SUV or How they could help us in ANY OTHER WAY ....With all the LOTS they OWN !! And THOUSANDS of other Vechicles they could of found something for us ....DON'T YOU THINK !!! More
Great service in the service center but it is horrible in the body shop! The service at the desk is great but when it comes to the person handling the actual vehicle they are rude and will tell you whatever the body shop! Keeping the trust and customer's schedule in mind is a huge part of customer satisfaction. Because I work in customer service, the way i was treated when I visited Mike Shad severely dissapointed me. My original appointment time and day was somehow miscommunicated leaving me to re work MY schedule to return to talk with the sales person. When we were negotiating prices, I was in the lobby at a table while Mike went to crunch some numbers. I don't know if this sales person knew I was in the lobby or just didnt care. Either way, "I'm just waiting for my next victim" is not something someone should say when their entire goal is to gain the trust and loyalty of their customers. I will not revist Mike Shad nor will I refer anyone there. I did go to another Ford dealership and get the car/price that I wanted along with the respect and professionalism that EVERY customer deserves. Mike Shad will continue to lose business if they do not rectify their customer service standards. More

Walter Gage gave the kind of service that will keep us coming back. We never felt pressured and Walt made every effort to find us exactly what we were looking for. They spent lots of time showing us the vehicles, going on test drives, going over options and pricing. They were upfront and honest with us from the start. This was my first buying experience and they were extremely patient with me and my indecisiveness. When the vehicle we decided on was at Mike Shad's competitor, they did a search and found what we wanted at another of their locations and brought it to us. Ultimately, the vehicle they found was better suited for us and our needs and Mike Shad offered us a better deal. We are absolutely satisfied with our experience at Mike Shad of Orange Park and would recommend that anyone shopping should bypass the stress, pressure and hassle of visiting other dealerships and head straight for the best...Mike Shad of Orange Park!!
