One of the most unethical dealerships around. And that should say something considering it’s a used car dealer. First, we were told the car that we wanted to buy still had a factory warranty on it. We g should say something considering it’s a used car dealer. First, we were told the car that we wanted to buy still had a factory warranty on it. We get to the financing department and find out otherwise. I get up and walk out and said you guys need to find a way to make this right before I buy. They call me back in and said “We will take care of the warranty”. Later I find out that this really meant there going to “add” an extended warranty to my loan at MY expense. They felt because the monthly payments didn’t go up that would be ok..YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING RIGHT! Next, shortly after buying the car I called up to cancel the extended warranty. They said “Nope can’t do that”. I then look at the actual Warrant Contract (which is a 3rd party Warranty provider) and I see they clearly have a Cancellation Policy. I call the dealership back to let them know and they said that it doesn’t apply because I signed something else that voids that Cancellation Policy. Long story short, the powers to be at the Warranty Company had to call the dealership personally. And guess what, after that they were happy to cancel my policy. I talked to the General Manager at the dealership about the unethical practices about the Warranty Cancelation policy. He said he didn’t see anything wrong and he will continue to turn people away who want to cancel their warranties. I said really “Even after the Warranty Company called you and said what you was doing is wrong and made you give me the refund per there Policy”..He said “Yep”. THIS IS THE GENERAL MANAGER PEOPLE!!. The unethical practices start from the TOP down. On a last note, when we bought the car the Sales person only gave us one key. He said “Don’t worry; it’s not one of those laser cut/microchip keys. You can just make a copy of it”. Of course we later find out this was not true and a 2nd Key would be $200. I talk to the dealership today about this and said “Sorry we can get you one for maybe $150”….You GOT TO BE KIDDING. In addition, right before we picked up the car it wouldn't start. So the held it for an additional 24hrs. They said it was a battery. About 2 months later the car wouldn't start again. I call them up and stated what ever you said you fixed obviously wasn't fixed. They took the car back in to check it out. It ends up being something related to a 2007 Recall that wasn't fixed. I do some research and I found out that dealerships BY LAW are suppose to fix ALL recalls before re-selling there cars. God forbid it was something really serious. And of course the only response I get from the dealership is "Opps sorry". I will be reporting this to the BBB and Dodge. This dealership will tell you anything to get you out of the door with a Sale. If something was wrong or misleading or anything of the sort, don’t expect them to step up and make things right. I can understand things happen but there are FAR to many things for this to be an isolated incident. This is not just a bad experience with one person. I have had communications with at least 10 different people there. Just because there a big dealership don’t expect anything different than you would’ve got from a “Jim bob’s Auto Trader” on the corner of Nevada, type of operation. UPDATE ======= The area "Reputation Manager" contacted regarding this negative review hoping he can make a "few things right". I told him that getting me a 2nd Key would be a start. Long story short, the reputation manager contacted the Dealership General Manager and he declined to give me a second key on there "dime". Or accept ANY ownership of what happened. The General Manager stated he wasn't going to be held hostage by online reviews. This is great right! There has been know dispute of what has happened. Meaning they don't deny it. They just don't feel inclined to make it right. It has become even more clear that this dealerships problems start from the Top down. Where this Manager received his Manager Degree is beyond me. The guy can't see "Big Picture" and has an ego problem to add to his issues. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP! They will tell you anything to get a sale. And not take ownership of issues that occur or may occur later (from them misleading you in the first place). If my review can help just one person save this type of headache then I've done my ethical responsibility (something this dealership knows NOTHING about). More
First and foremost, we didn't feel we were being "held hostage" by the sales personnel, as is the case in so many car buying situations. BC is friendly, knowledgable, helpful and nice, and has a great se hostage" by the sales personnel, as is the case in so many car buying situations. BC is friendly, knowledgable, helpful and nice, and has a great sense of humor. He is not pushy and doesn't use pressure techniques. His trainee, David, is personable and helpful, as well. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the name of the employee in Finance who worked with us, but he was also professional and helpful. We appreciated the fact that, even though we weren't finished with our car purchase by their 9:00pm closing time on a Saturday night, they were very gracious about staying late. Our work schedule doesn't allow us to shop during regular business hours, so this made it possible for us to find and purchase a vehicle. The manager, Scott, was friendly, as well, although we didn't meet him until the purchase was complete. I do feel that if I'd had the strength and energy, and if I wasn't feeling guilty for keeping everyone late, I might have negotiated a little better price, and I wish car buying didn't have to be done that way, but I know it's part of the gig. Overall, however, we had a very positive experience and would buy at this dealership again. Whatever you do, COS Dodge, keep BC on your staff! His personality alone is going to sell a LOT of cars. Maybe you should consider doubling his wages. More
this is my second posting. after my used purchase, they seem to forget about you and the old adage kicks in..........let the buyer beware !!! having looked at similar vehicles, I presumed the 20" tires to seem to forget about you and the old adage kicks in..........let the buyer beware !!! having looked at similar vehicles, I presumed the 20" tires to be stock size. mere days after the purchase, I realized my speedometer was off after being pulled over for doing 55 in a 50 MPH zone. I did not get a ticket, however by looking at the door placard, I realized the correct size tire/wheel is 17", not 20" which caused the inaccurate speedometer. addressing this to the salesman and others proved useless, no reply from salesman and when I asked if they would be interested in buying back the chrome 20's and then got passed around like a cold coffee. everybody seemed to be on vacation that had "authority" to make this decision. long story short, dont get fooled into a false sense of security like I did. Check everything to make sure all is good. Oh and one last thing...the wiring for the tow package was all jacked up and had to get it fixed. Apparently just because it has a tow package doesnt mean they check to see if the electrical trailer connector works either. One plus is that ehy called and gave me the title packet instead of waiting weeks to get notified by the DMV. More
