AutoNation Dodge Ram Colorado Springs responded

Mr. K, Thank you for taking the time to leave the comments on Dealer-rater. While we strive to serve every customer with absolute 100% satisfaction, we do realize that we may not always achieve our goals of complete customer satisfaction. Addressing your specific complaints, I would like to first state that as a business our first priority is our customers and conducting ourselves and our interactions with customers or prospective-customers with respect, integrity, and dignity. While this is our goal, sometimes situations arise that may be perceived as harsh/direct by one customer, might be appreciated as transparent/informative by another. Thus our processes while built to serve the majority of our clientele, it is possible some may consider it... too direct. Confirming your appointment (#1): We take your appointment very seriously. In fact, our salespeople are encouraged to communicate with their customers often, to determine if wants/needs change over time leading up to the appointment. We also go through great efforts to prepare the vehicle of interest to the customer and block out time for that person to receive our undivided attention when they arrive. Your appointment was confirmed by your salesperson/sales manager. When you arrived your salesperson was actually finishing the last stages of a previous appointment and therefore I happily introduced myself to assist you from there. Driving your trade (#2): When asked for your keys, I also invited you to join me for the appraisal process (while most dealerships might just take your keys and disappear for a period of time). Incidentally, when you mentioned to pause for ignition on your diesel, my response was meant to be "tongue in cheek". My apologies to you as it appears to have been perceived as some sleight toward you personally. Tires (#3): Actually, after discussing the front tires, the rear tires were obviously severely in need of replacement. Most tire centers recommend replacing all tires on a 4WD at the same time with the same brand/tire depth to avoid different axles speeds in the transfer case. In this case, I simply passed information to my "Ford" guy, that the rear tires would need to be replaced. Once again, in an effort to get maximum value for the trade (even though, we had yet to even determine if I had a vehicle that you were even remotely interested in), I called my commercial/heavy duty resources as F450's are not common/high volume units. Fur (#4): Of everything stated in your criticism, the inflammatory nature of the commentary, the omission of clear FACTS that you shared with me but not openly in the original post seem at the very LEAST, suspicious and very misleading; (Emissions missing & *at home*, exhaust straight piped under vehicle, you suspecting that this is the 3RD engine in this truck at ~129K miles, the bank "repo" sticker that you left on windshield (from auction), damage on passenger side flaring, needing rear tires, having replaced the engine with another used 6.4L diesel that you personally have repaired while in diesel mechanic training). Furthermore, noting that when doing a competitive search, 2 similar trucks are listed for RETAIL in surrounding areas for 24-26K. If after making numerous calls, I seemed excited at the number that was provided, insulted you?!? My comments to you, to help you with your obvious disappointment over the realization that your investment wasn't giving you the return that you expected, was to offer to diffuse that number even further, if I could interest you in a vehicle that needed to be moved (i.e. overage) aka win/win. With respect to your payoff, the amount you owe has no bearing on the value of your vehicle. As a business, I respect that you have the right to take your business elsewhere, but to personally attack our staff/employees, I feel is/was unjustified. If there is ANYTHING that I can do to assist you further, please do not hesitate to contact me at 719-475-8550. Albert Risch Sales Manager Colorado Springs Dodge
