Service writer was nice. No problem with her. Brought my 2021 Wrangler for transmission problem. I brought it to a Jeep dealer expecting expertise on a Jeep product. For a $ No problem with her. Brought my 2021 Wrangler for transmission problem. I brought it to a Jeep dealer expecting expertise on a Jeep product. For a $199 Evaluation fee I was given two options to fix it. Spend $119.95 for a software upgrade or $8700 to replace the transmission. I spent the $119.95 for the software update and it did not fix it. But I was still required to pay for it. I paid $199 + $119.95 for nothing. My only option then was to replace the entire transmission for $8700??? This vehicle has 70,000 miles and the transmission needs replaced? The dealer cannot fix the transmission? Only option is replacement? I have been buying cars long enough to remember when dealers actually fixed things instead of just replacement. So much for the "expertise" of taking it to a Jeep dealer. I will be taking it to transmission shops to see if they can actually fix the car. I have purchased 6 Wranglers since 1995 and this will probably be my last. I am a very unhappy Jeep customer. More
It took 6 weeks to get my car repaired! Chrysler warranty failed to repair the engine correctly. They only replaced the damaged parts, they did NOT CORRECT the problem that caused the damage ( the oil control valves on the MDS system, damage to the bearings and other engine components due to metal shavings in the oil). The engine should have been replaced. Chrysler has been replacing the engines when the MDS cam & lifters fail. This failure is caused by poor design of the oiling system in the gen 3 engines. I feel my engine should have been replaced also. Mike Doht tried to get a new engine, but was rejected by Chrysler warranty. I also believe the damaged parts BELONG to me, not Chrysler. I will be Joining the Class Action Law Suit against Chrysler! My complaint against the dealership is the long waiting time; the car was returned dirty; and the dealership offered no help with assisting with our loss of a vehicle. We had to rent a car and get bus transportation for Six weeks More
