I thought that I was having a problem with my transmission. I was charged $149 to evaluate the issue with the understanding that this would be applied if Auto Nation did the repair. The tech drov transmission. I was charged $149 to evaluate the issue with the understanding that this would be applied if Auto Nation did the repair. The tech drove my car and also placed it on a machine. No problem found with the transmission. They decided to breakdown my transmission before evaluating it further to find the specific problem. It turned out to be the wheel bearing. They repaired the wheel bearing and replaced my battery. My issue is that I’m not a mechanic. I bring my car to the expert to tell me what is wrong. Why would anyone breakdown a transmission if you found nothing wrong without checking out other options that it could be related to the sound you are hearing or what you may feel during a test drive. That should have been the last resource. I don’t feel that I should have been charged $149 when you are supposedly the expert and actually performed the repair. The work was excellent, but I have a very serious issue on how this matter was handled in regard to the tear-down of the transmission. More
