I have given them the benefit of the doubt, that perhaps my level of service is merely a "one off", but unfortunately, as I continue to frequent them, there appears to be a pattern of poor service. There are a few glimmers of brightness. Particularly, every time I have had Alfredo Lopes as my service provider. I have not seen him in awhile, so not sure if he is still with Ira. He always been very friendly and a straight- shooter. I was always treated with respect and felt I was given an accurate description of my car needs. First, I have a certified pre-owned vehicle with extended warranty. On nearly every single visit I have had or when there is work required outside normal checkups, I have had to remind the service advisor of it where 2X the work ended being covered by the extended warranty. Shouldn't this be on my file? For complaints, I have had 3 issues to date. First, I had several issues in 2014 with my vehicle battery going dead, requiring my vehicle to be jumped (approx 8 times in 2 months). The service advisor was friendly, but felt he was talking down to me. After my vehicle went through a diagnostic check, the advisor said they suspected there was likely a draw on the battery, causing the battery to drain. Since I had the extended warranty, if they found something, the labor would be covered. However, if nothing was found, I would be responsible for the labor, which was several $/hour. The advisor told me it definitely was not the battery however. So, I asked to see the worksheet on the battery. Prior to coming into the service dept, I had been driving my car ~ 90 minutes after it was jumped, however it said there was only 55% of batter left. I asked the advisor, "Shouldn't it be 100%" which he replied yes. I then asked "Well then how you say it's not the battery, when it's at 55%". He then replied he could not. At this point, felt like I was being taken for a ride, and took the car somewhere else to have the battery replaced. Another time in 2015, during a routine checkup (I believe 65K), it was suggested to me a filter be replaced. I said the same filter had been replaced my last service visit, to which they apologized that this was missed when reviewing the record. The last incident, involved a checkup/inspection following a car accident, where an outside body shop approved by the insurance company performed the work. There was additional work that needed to be repaired by the insurance body shop. I instructed both shops (Toyota and independent) I would be driving vehicle myself from Toyota. However received a call from the independent shop that Toyota had authorized release directly to the outside body shop. I was never notified by Toyota that this was done. I called and spoke with the Service manager who apologized and told me it was a mistake, and they were short staffed that day. Will likely never go back to Toyota Ira for service. More
Sales Manager Lies I was ready to pay full price for a used Camry and when they presented me with the total price it included a $450 "Document Fee". when I said I would I was ready to pay full price for a used Camry and when they presented me with the total price it included a $450 "Document Fee". when I said I would not pay this fee the sales manager informed me that it is not up to them, it is a state law and there was nothing they could do about it. this was an outright lie. there is no such state law, it is a profit scheme for them. I'm OK with them trying to charge this, and at most dealers it is negotiable or not charged at all, but for the manager to lie and say it was a state law tells you an awful lot about the ethics which are practiced at this location. I actually have recorded this conversation, which I always do when buying a car, and will be contacting the Attorney General". He then told the salesman to "get away from him" meaning me, like I had some sort of infection. Overall the sales team at Ira have been rude, deceptive, and totally non-attentive and I would recommend going anywhere but here to anyone with any self respect. More
Dishonest from the get go Stated they wouldn't accept a check from my credit union because "we've been burned by them before. We won't accept a check from them". Upon further d Stated they wouldn't accept a check from my credit union because "we've been burned by them before. We won't accept a check from them". Upon further digging it was just a lie to get me to finance through them. Walked out and went to Prime Toyota Rt2 who happily took my check. More
They will go cheap on you AFTER you sign the contract. I saw the price online for a 2015 Camry and decided to buy the car. It was cheaper than the Toyota in Wellesley but only by $200 when you look at the total price (since they charge higher fees to make up the low price). I went there and spoke to someone who's English wasn't great. No big deal, I just want to buy the car and make sure everything is okay. I test drove it and it was fine. They didn't ask me if I wanted any accessories or extended warranties. Again, not a big deal since I already knew I didn't need any. I signed the contract for the car and the communication between the salesman and me was not great. I had to text back/call several times to make sure everything is okay with the registration/sticker/insurance/etc. None of the representatives there were great or professional but whatever. The biggest problem I had was that they didn't clean the car AT ALL. I'm pretty sure they didn't even do any kind of inspection. Car had dust on the inside and random dusts on the outside. I'm not sure if this is Toyota policy since there was a list that included checking for inspections and cleaning the car. I guess this is how they treat you AFTER you sign the contract. I had to clean it myself which was not a big deal but any other car dealers would've had the courtesy to do so. Everyone else tells me their new cars have been cleaned. How hard is it to wipe a car down.... seriously. I asked the salesman why and he said something like "It costs us $150". So I guess they were trying to save money and go cheap on me. Maybe they could've given me that $150 instead. Car runs okay but in the future I would not buy from here ever again. I'm only 22 and make pretty good money so I'll definitely be making a lot more car purchases. Just wanted to warn you guys since I'm not sure what else they did to save themselves more money, rather than helping the customer. More
Service dept Went in to have my car serviced , the car will be a year old in Oct 2015. I was having an oil change done and rotating my tires. I was there for 2 hrs Went in to have my car serviced , the car will be a year old in Oct 2015. I was having an oil change done and rotating my tires. I was there for 2 hrs! I find this unacceptable. The most it should of took was 45 min to an hr. If you want a sticker its an hrs wait. When you want to purchase a car your there all day. This needs to be addressed. Who wants to spend all day to purchase or 2 hrs service. And it wasn't that busy. I keep hearing the same excuse from the service advisor that the guys are out straight, that excuse is old. Poor organization is what its called! More

Once it was clear that they did not have the vehicle I came in on in-stock, I was at least interested in having them complete an Autotrader Instant Cash Offer for my trade. It took over two hours just to have someone walk around the car for 30 seconds and give me an offer of $2,000-$2,500 less than other dealers. I won't waste my time at this dealership ever again, and I hope you consider the same. More

Awful!! Walked in and went directly to Sales Mgr. asking if he had anything for under 10K, not wanting to waste anyone's time in the process. He said "yes" i Walked in and went directly to Sales Mgr. asking if he had anything for under 10K, not wanting to waste anyone's time in the process. He said "yes" it just came in but it hadn't been inspected through the shop yet. We took it to mechanic, came back and were ready to purchase. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for them to tell us the selling price (under 10K remember). Sales Mgr. walks over and says, "this is no good". He had just looked up the value of the vehicle online and said it should be $12,800. When we voiced our disappointment and disbelief, in a respectful manner, that he lied to us upfront about the under 10K price, he proceeded to throw a hissy fit and asked us to leave (which is why, in my opinion, he made us wait for 30 minutes, hoping we would leave on our own!). Later that day the vehicle was posted for $13,400. Very unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from the Sales Mgr. More
How do you mess up email? Sent email expressing interest in buying a specific make/model of car. Asked for price. They named a decent price but beat by another dealer. Later of Sent email expressing interest in buying a specific make/model of car. Asked for price. They named a decent price but beat by another dealer. Later offered a lower price. When other deal fell through we contacted Ira Toyota again. Ira sent another email saying new price was a typo and offered the "corrected" "out the door" cash price. Went in the next morning, missing work. Completely ignored until we found some guy in his cubicle. Turns out he was the one who sent emails. Brought us to the sales consultant. We showed email with latest "corrected" price to consultant. Agreed that was what we would pay out the door, in cash. About to put down cash deposit. Sales guy went to get car keys. Then was gone for a REALLY LONG time. Saw email guy, sales guy, and manager chatting. Really confused and bored. Noticed a guy in the next office giving other guy a shoulder massage (door open). Email and sales guy returned and said email guy had somehow made another typo and we would have to pay $1000 more and take financing which would involve missing another 2 hours of work to deal with financing crap. At this point we didn't want to miss any more work. Because unlike the IRA guys we weren't getting paid for this crap. So we left. More
