I was in the this dealer over 2 different days. Most I was in the this dealer over 2 different days. Most people rate high once they buy a car, but I am basing my rating on the first day I left befor I was in the this dealer over 2 different days. Most people rate high once they buy a car, but I am basing my rating on the first day I left before I bought the car (two days later) which would make it harder to rate high because I didn't get what I wanted at that point. But they were so good to me despite me leaving that first day, I am giving them the best rating. Walking out on that first day, there were no bad feelings or pressure from anyone. The sales guy Al Amrani was very nice with no pressure whatsoever. More like someone I've known for a few years casually. Sales Manager Chuck was very kind with little pressure, he seemed genuinely sad to see me leave that first day. The car we were all haggling over was a 2009 Toyota Matrix S AWD with 20K miles on it. A car sure to sell in no time, so they could have easily let me walk out and not give me a second thought. Two days later Sales Manager Chuck called me back to see if we could do some more haggling so I went back that day. Sales-guy Al was working with someone else so I decided to wait for him. While I waited other sales guys were coming up to me talking casual (not phony like most places). Talked to one Greek sales guy Brian Trebicka, who especially loved Ferrari cars. All the sales-guys at Ira Toyota Tewksbury are more like a bunch of guys who get together to watch a football game. Once Sales-guy Al was available, we continued haggling with myself, Al and Sales Manager Chuck again. Eventually we worked out a deal and I was VERY happy. Absolutely no "buyers remorse" whatsoever. They are genuinely good people in there as I have dealt with their service department before. Finance Director Scott B. Miranda was sent in next. Usually this is where they pressure you to buy all the add-ons. Well first off, Scott isn't exactly a little guy. They apparently hire former boxers or wrestlers for this position ;) So this guy looked like he meant business. After he started talking, he turned out to be the nicest guy of all. Little pressure at all on all the "extras". I eventually did go for the extended warranty, as I usually do anyway as they always paid off for me, I know I would have regretted not getting the warranty. I am very sensitive to poor service by companies, as I run a citizen activist /consumer website in the Town of Tewksbury (http://www.TewksburyIssues.org ) and many people visit to complain or celebrate good/bad companies that do business in and around Tewksbury. Ira Toyota will certainly be featured on my website as one of those "thumbs-up" businesses in town and look forward to attending the "new owners dinner" that Ira has every month! All in all a rather surprisingly excellent experience and absolutely would suggest Ira Toyota to anyone. More
I went into test drive a car by myself, maybe not the best decision for a woman, but my Volvo is getting older and I need to prepare for the inevitable...change! I was immediately greeted by a manager - best decision for a woman, but my Volvo is getting older and I need to prepare for the inevitable...change! I was immediately greeted by a manager - very welcoming and friendly, in a genuine way. He introduced me to Brian Trebicka. If you're looking for a great sales experience, go see Brian. He was awesome - not your "typical car salesman". He's down to earth, listens, helps you make the best decision for YOU and best of all, NO high pressure. He was friendly, professional and most importantly, made me feel comfortable. I was especially pleased that he had me test driving within 10 minutes of my arrival - GREAT! I have 20 years of experience in sales and service and I was totally impressed. He enjoys his job and it shows in the way he deals with customers. If you want to really enjoy the buying process, go see Brian! Overall the dealership had a great approach - the BEST of the four dealerships that I have visited in the Tewksbury/Andover area! To IRA Toyota...thank you for proving that buying a car can be enjoyable and that you don't have to use "pressure" to get the job done! More
My wife and I visited Ira Toyota of Tewksbury on 12/27/09 shopping for the new Sienna minivan. The salesperson, D. Rutman who greeted us at the door showed us several vehicles, but the configuration that we shopping for the new Sienna minivan. The salesperson, D. Rutman who greeted us at the door showed us several vehicles, but the configuration that we needed was not in the inventory. Mr Rutman promised us to have this vehicle delivered to the dealership and available for us the next day, but it would require a 500.00 deposit, which I paid. When I called the salesperson the next day, the vehicle was still not available for purchase. As a result, I requested to cancel this deal and refund my $500.00 deposit, which Mr. Rutman agreed to do with no problem and right away. It’s being exactly one week, since the time I last spoke with D. Rutman, but I am still waiting for my credit card refund. More

I gave him my tradein keys for an evaluation He returned sometime later with my car keys AND amy registration.. I'd given him NO authorization to search my car. I was surprised.' After giving me a ridiculously low ball offer for my trade-in, he kept going back and forth to his manager ( Chuck )... finnally coming back with picture of his 2 children.. I have no idea what that was all about except to impress upon me that he has a family.. I was appalled at this tactic.. He continued with his high pressure tactics , but by then I was angry and left....Two weeks after this experience I purchased a vehicle at Acton Toyota and it wqs a more more pleasurable experience.. I would not reccommend Ira Tewksbury to anyone.. Someone should tell them their sales tactics have to change More

We recently purchased our Toyota Rav4, limited from Ira (Tewksbury) and worked with Al Amrani and Scott Miranda. Our initial impression was frankly OK and we were pretty sure we won't work out a deal th (Tewksbury) and worked with Al Amrani and Scott Miranda. Our initial impression was frankly OK and we were pretty sure we won't work out a deal there. The dealer asked questions about our life-style and see what fits well for us. But we knew exactly what we wanted and so found these questions irrelevant and a little annoying. What Al didn't know was that we had done our homework quiet well. We even took my computer along with us to play around with the numbers and see if the total cost fit in our budget. We suggest that you guys do something similar as it really helps to work out a better deal structure! Anyway, in about 20-min or so things started to look positive and our first impression of Al changed. We found him to be rather nice, friendly and someone who was trying hard to make the deal happen. Like any dealer, he did try selling a black SUV that was on the lot. However, he was not very pushy about it and once we said NO to that SUV, he moved on to work out a deal for the SUV we wanted. After a few hours we finally agreed on a pretty good deal and we were also able to apply my $1000 student credit towards the payment. When it came to pick up the SUV though, I must admit we weren't very prepared with the extended warranty pricing/packages the dealers tend to push the very last minute. I wish we had read more about it and after sitting with Scott Miranda for 2 hours or so landed up taking an 8-year/75000 warranty. We frankly were not very sure about it though, however Scott mentioned that we could cancel it within 30-days if weren't happy about it. We came home, thought about it and realized that the extended warranty was not for us since we were not sure about our driving habits and that money could go towards another car we plan to buy. Having read about the weird stories about warranty cancellation on the internet, I must admit that we were a little worried. I called Scott the very next day and to my surprise they did keep their word. In about 2 days Al emailed me saying that our extend warranty was canceled and that they will email us and updated agreement. Overall, Al and Scott were quiet helpful. They even took care of the car mats that came with our new SUV. Apparently it was bad and the threads were already falling off. So they put in order for a new one right away. Hopefully I get mine in the mail soon! My suggestion for you guys is -- (1) before you walk into any dealer location, read about them, DO YOUR HOMEWORK on the car with all the pricing and APR that's available. Read discussion board information and only after all that make an offer. (2) Also, make sure you take everything in writing, because the dealers work with a lot of deals in a day and so they tend to forget things. For e.g. it was not sure if my car had mudguards, but I got them to write it down when we made a deal and was able to show them during the day of pickup and not pay extra for it. (3) Oh and please read before you sign anything. On the day of the pickup, I signed a different higher pricing for the car by mistake and my husband noticed the change in the price. We told Scott about it and showed him a previous price copy we had agreed upon. He took care of it right away. Hope my experience help you new car buyers, all the best! More

There was Tewksbury with the intention of test driving a RAV 4. I live about 5 minutes from this dealership. I went there around 3pm on a weekday. There was no receptionist so I stood in the sales area waiting for help. I stood there for 15 minutes before an employee approached me. He asked if I was being helped. He said he'd get someone. I waited another 15 minutes and received no help. I walked out the door. An older gentleman came running out after me. He identified himself as the manager. He asked if I needed help. I told him I was interested in the RAV 4 but had waited about 1/2 hr. with no help. I told him I was headed down the street to Atamian Honda to test a CRV and that I needed to buy a car within the next couple weeks. He apologized and told me to go ahead to Atamian. He was very pleasant but I was stunned at his response. I told many friends and family members about my experience. Most of them told me it was probably because I was a female and they didn't take women seriously. In this day and age of dealership closures I was absolutely shocked by this experience. I had a great experience at Atamian but ended up buying a RAV4 at Acton Toyota the next week. They were absolutely wonderful to deal with. Sad to say I traveled a good 20 minutes to buy a car when there is a dealership right down the street from my home. Caroline Kennedy Lowell, MA More
From the moment I first walked into the dealership, I was given friendly and helpful service. The Salesmen was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. The Finance Manager was also easy to given friendly and helpful service. The Salesmen was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. The Finance Manager was also easy to work with even though my credit history is limited, which complicated the process of financing the vehicle. My phones calls were always returned promptly, and although the vehicle I wanted wasn't at the dealership, they quickly found it for me. More
I did my research and noted that a couple of years back this dealership turned a corner or tried to. Many glowing five star reviews. So we went to Ira Toyota of Tewksbury to take a look at one of the cars this dealership turned a corner or tried to. Many glowing five star reviews. So we went to Ira Toyota of Tewksbury to take a look at one of the cars there. It was a bizarre experience. yes they were nice, and yes they were friendly, but it stops there. One individual we had contact with looked like he should never have been let out of Russia much less into this country. They all gave me the willies especially him. As for the car, well it had a gallon or two of gas in it when we took it for a test drive (the get gas light was on) and the oil barely showed on the dipstick. The car had a peculiar whine and really strange dark stains in the driver side footwell. It also had some rust problems. we didnt buy. No there wasnt any high pressure sales nor were there games to get us to deal. when we said no thanks we were allowed to leave unmolested. I dont use that word lightly. Something about the place gave me a very very uncomfortable feeling and I will not go back nor would I recommend them. (I am a senior with a mensa level IQ). I wish I could explain the 'creepiness' better. (Our next stop was Wakefield Toyota and I would recommend them) More
