Appalling, deceptive behavior and absolutely no good-faith dealing. My experience with Auto Giants Nissan in Virginia was one of the worst dealership experiences I have had. I was an out-of-s good-faith dealing. My experience with Auto Giants Nissan in Virginia was one of the worst dealership experiences I have had. I was an out-of-state buyer from Connecticut attempting to purchase a Ram 1500. On Friday morning, dealership management specifically requested that I complete a credit application to move forward with the purchase. I complied, providing my personal financial information and authorizing them to access my credit. From that point forward, I repeatedly asked for the out-the-door price and paperwork so I could finalize the purchase. I was ready to buy. Instead, I was repeatedly told they were “too busy” with other customers to get me the paperwork. This continued throughout the weekend. What makes this particularly troubling is that another buyer from Ohio also submitted a credit application on Friday. While I spent the weekend trying to get Auto Giants Nissan to provide me with the basic paperwork necessary to complete my purchase, they apparently continued working with the other buyer. The truck was ultimately sold to him on Sunday at approximately 3:00 p.m. To be clear, my complaint is not simply that the vehicle was sold to someone else. My complaint is that management asked me to submit a credit application, subjected my credit to an inquiry, and then repeatedly failed to provide the documents I was requesting to actually complete the purchase. Their conduct left me with the strong impression that they had little or no genuine intention of completing the sale with me, despite requesting my credit application. Had they simply been transparent and told me they were prioritizing another buyer, I could have moved on without wasting my weekend or unnecessarily involving my credit. If I was supposedly an active buyer, why couldn’t anyone provide me with an OTD price and purchase paperwork from Friday morning through Sunday while I repeatedly asked for it? That’s the part Auto Giants Nissan should explain. Based on my experience, I would be extremely cautious about submitting a credit application or allowing this dealership to access your credit until you have the complete deal, pricing, and availability of the vehicle confirmed in writing. Be aware: this dealership charges 4% on top of both DEBIT and credit card payments through its cash-discount pricing model, on top of already high labor and parts charges. As one example, I was quoted $440 t and credit card payments through its cash-discount pricing model, on top of already high labor and parts charges. As one example, I was quoted $440 to replace a dim third brake light, while OEM replacement parts are available online for around $180. I later replaced it myself in under 5 minutes with a $50 eBay replacement. Also, pack your patience, because the turnaround time to get your vehicle back from service is almost always much longer than communicated. If you value fair pricing and your time, I would strongly recommend considering other options. I will not be returning to Auto Giants Nissan. More
I was willing to drive to Woodbridge, Va. After talking with the salesperson and doing the test drive, a person (who I believe was the sales manager) said the price was not negotiable. Had I been told that when I made the appointment, I would not have driven all that distance to begin with. They also wanted to charge a $999.00 processing fee, which was also non-negotiable. We were led to believe that, by law, that fee was not negotiable. When I returned home, I tried to verify that. I went to a site called "Virginia Automobile Dealers Association" and according to this site, dealers are not required to charge a processing fee at all. It is a business decision that each business makes. It also states that each dealership determines how much to charge for processing. As my son and I were leaving, the sales manager(?) asked if reducing the (sales) price by $100.00 would make any difference? I said "No." That question made it sound like maybe the price was negotiable afterall, but now it was too late. So our experience overall was a very negative one. But I don't blame the salesperson for any of that. He did his job - we had no issue with him. The bottom line is, we would not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. More
Claude was extremely helpful to get me in the car I specifically wanted. He is a very sociable person to negotiate with. Claude made the sale a smooth, fun process. Soon I was driving off the lot. Purchased a car here and the dealership sent in the wrong paperwork to the bank and now threatening to call the cops if I don’t bring back the vehicle I have a contract on back. Wouldn’t recommend doin wrong paperwork to the bank and now threatening to call the cops if I don’t bring back the vehicle I have a contract on back. Wouldn’t recommend doing business with them or the GM David. The owner should check into how he runs business. More
