Appalling, deceptive behavior and absolutely no good-faith dealing. My experience with Auto Giants Nissan in Virginia was one of the worst dealership experiences I have had. I was an out-of-s good-faith dealing. My experience with Auto Giants Nissan in Virginia was one of the worst dealership experiences I have had. I was an out-of-state buyer from Connecticut attempting to purchase a Ram 1500. On Friday morning, dealership management specifically requested that I complete a credit application to move forward with the purchase. I complied, providing my personal financial information and authorizing them to access my credit. From that point forward, I repeatedly asked for the out-the-door price and paperwork so I could finalize the purchase. I was ready to buy. Instead, I was repeatedly told they were “too busy” with other customers to get me the paperwork. This continued throughout the weekend. What makes this particularly troubling is that another buyer from Ohio also submitted a credit application on Friday. While I spent the weekend trying to get Auto Giants Nissan to provide me with the basic paperwork necessary to complete my purchase, they apparently continued working with the other buyer. The truck was ultimately sold to him on Sunday at approximately 3:00 p.m. To be clear, my complaint is not simply that the vehicle was sold to someone else. My complaint is that management asked me to submit a credit application, subjected my credit to an inquiry, and then repeatedly failed to provide the documents I was requesting to actually complete the purchase. Their conduct left me with the strong impression that they had little or no genuine intention of completing the sale with me, despite requesting my credit application. Had they simply been transparent and told me they were prioritizing another buyer, I could have moved on without wasting my weekend or unnecessarily involving my credit. If I was supposedly an active buyer, why couldn’t anyone provide me with an OTD price and purchase paperwork from Friday morning through Sunday while I repeatedly asked for it? That’s the part Auto Giants Nissan should explain. Based on my experience, I would be extremely cautious about submitting a credit application or allowing this dealership to access your credit until you have the complete deal, pricing, and availability of the vehicle confirmed in writing.
