I purchased a car from this dealership in November of 2022. When we first stepped foot onto the lot, a salesperson began helping us; they asked some general questions about what we were looking for but dodged answering direct questions about any of the cars; for instance, when I asked the price for a specific vehicle, they would not answer the question. They then pulled around the 2013 Acura MDX I purchased, and from then on seemed insistent on that being the car I purchased. They would no longer answer questions about any other vehicles. But ultimately, we were looking for a three row SUV for our growing family and the Acura seemed nice enough – this dealership was willing to give us some trade in credit for an absolute piece of junk I bought in the hopes of restoring it, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt here (and many other times, unfortunately). The next day, I insisted on a test drive – the salesperson wouldn’t allow me to drive beyond a short few miles, and all that driving was at low speeds. When my wife and I were about to close the deal, the salesperson stepped in and said they wanted to have their maintenance techs look at “a wire” on the starter that “wasn’t bad but looked like it might go bad soon.” At that time I thought it was good that they went to such lengths to ensure the car I was about to buy was up to good operating standards. We picked the car up the following day. That weekend, I had to take my two kids to a pediatric urgent care facility because one of them was sick. After the visit, the car wouldn’t start in the parking lot. I will omit the hassle incurred from the towing experience because I consider that to largely be out of the hands of the dealership. They suggested they “replaced the starter and a gasket between the starter and the engine block”, so I assumed everything would be fine. I drove the car for a few days or so and once again was stranded with my children in the car (this time picking them up from day care). I called the dealership demanding they fix this; at first the salesperson attempted to suggest that I should somehow have the vehicle towed to them, to which I responded “I shouldn’t have to do anything else to get this resolved.” After an angry call with the manager at Auto First, he agreed that my experience had been sub-par and he wanted to make it right, and he agreed to a.) fix the issue with the starter, and b.) fix other issues that I had noticed since they didn’t give me the ability to properly test drive the vehicle (poor acceleration, wheel misalignment). I felt this was satisfactory; I wouldn’t normally insist that a used car dealership fix every last detail and perform every bit of maintenance prior to selling a car, though a dealership that actually has good standards probably would do so, so this seemed to be decent compensation for my time and stress. They agreed to tow it, but the car would then sit at my children’s day care for two additional days after this phone call. They then towed it back to the dealership, but said they wanted to take it to the Acura dealership for them to fix it. It sat at their dealership for a few more days and then finally was taken to the Acura dealership; by this time, we were approaching Thanksgiving so the Acura dealership was closed. It would be December 7 – almost a full month after we purchased the car – before Acura was finished with the vehicle. I'm running out of words for this review, but to top it all off they never transferred the title for my trade in - it's now sitting in an impound lot in Philadelphia incurring fees. More

Thanks to all the team at auto first for their excellent service and support 3 months ago when I needed a new car urgently. Scott at sales did not hesitate in given my wife and I the necessary help we neede service and support 3 months ago when I needed a new car urgently. Scott at sales did not hesitate in given my wife and I the necessary help we needed to make our decision on type of vehicle to choose, Scott took us through all the processes and eventually we got a Ford Explorer 2015 with 49000 mileage and I.
