Buyers beware My wife and I purchased a 2009 Saturn Vue on 2/23/18. We have enjoyed the vehicle during the time in which we have had possession of it. On 2/23 it My wife and I purchased a 2009 Saturn Vue on 2/23/18. We have enjoyed the vehicle during the time in which we have had possession of it. On 2/23 it failed emission inspection due to the computer not being ready ( I was told that they put a new battety in). On 2/25 we notified Auto Country that the check engine light is on and the vehicle is jerking (90miles since purchase). I provided them with the codes from Auto Zone in case the light went off. I dropped the vehicle off on 2/26 and on 3/1 I was told that it needed a transmission part. So it took 3 days to diagnose that the transmission was the issue.I was told that I could pick it up and use it until the part came in. On 3/3 the transmission seized on us completely. I had to have it towed to my work which was close by. On Monday 3/5 Auto Country towed it back to the mechanic. On Monday Afteenoon my wife received a voice mail saying the part just came in and that our vehicle is going to be a priority. I called on Thursday to follow up and was told that it was going to be ready by Friday afternoon. I called Auto Country Friday afternoon before heading over their and they were clueless. I was told that the delay was because of the weather. Fed up, we called mechanic directly and he said that their was a vehicle in front of us and that he was starting the Saturn now and to follow up on Monday (delay was not weather related). My wife calls Auto country this morning 3/12 and was told that the owner left a note saying the vehicle was going to be ready early afternoon. Fed up again, we called mechanic again and said that they need another day. I gave Auto Country 2 stars because they are nice people (except for a couple instances in which I wont publicly post). I will update this review in 30 days. Friendliness - 3.5 Communication - 1 star Service 1 star (only offered a discount on rental of 20%) We are on day 8 / 11 for the vehicle return policy based on Massachusetts Lemon Law. More
Long overdue review, great place! First, I apologize for the delay in this review, time ALWAYS wins. I bought a 2007 Yukon Denali XL from auto country about a year ago and now getting around for this review. I must laugh at not only some of these one star reviews as well as any other dealership. Listen, it's rather simple people. You are buying a USED car, with lots of miles. If you want brand new, then go to a new car dealer and pay the price. A used car is that. A risk to any buyer. It could be perfect today, and tomorrow something can break! It's not the dealer's fault unless they hid the issues, but any educated buyer can generally see past this. Now, this is my review/experience. It was simple, easy transaction, and they sold a solid vehicle. I drove nearly 4 hours to buy this here (price attracted me). They really went through this truck and replace a lot of things, and made it right. Even at the time of negotiation, they fixed a broken door handle and rear defrost line (none are state inspection items). I even requested at my cost to replace plugs and wires, and they sent pictures to me during the process for piece of mind. I still to this day have an occasional issue, but it's an 11 year old truck with 170K, so it's expected, and at NO WAY do I blame the dealer! Just fix it and keep driving. We took it on a 10 hour trip to DC with 5 kids, two adults, and our luggage last week with no issues. Great experience, great truck, and be cautious over these one star reviews. AND PLEASE, if you have an immediate issue with the car as you drive off, this dealer probably didn't know about it. Be nice and courteous, as they will in return and try to rectify the situation. They don't want to loose their reputation over something silly. Leaving a bad review and nasty comments shows the characteristics of yourself, and those bad reviews probably travel with you from dealer to dealer. I apologize that I don't recall the gentleman's name I worked with, but up most professional and respectful and patient. Thanks!!!! More
I would give this place negative stars if I could DO NOT BUY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! It’s a lemon only lot. Your car won’t make it week before it needs work, and when they send it in to get worked on they only fix the bare minimum of the problem so the lights turn off. Then if you tell them the “check gauge” light is on (which only comes on if your driving and overheating) they say “it wasn’t on when we dropped it off”. Handed them a engine diagnostic showing a cylinder 4 misfire and they replaced 1 of the 6 spark plugs, ignored the check gauge light and reset the check engine light. I drove it to see family for the holidays, roughly a week after purchase, and overheated halfway stranding me in Pennsylvania. Could have killed me and my girlfriend, I cannot stress this enough DO NOT SHOP HERE More

If we don't get killed in vehicle its a miracle I wrote a review on 6/8/17 and on 6/20/17 I saw a response from Stephanie from 6/19/17 and I wrote back and she said she would give me her direct numb I wrote a review on 6/8/17 and on 6/20/17 I saw a response from Stephanie from 6/19/17 and I wrote back and she said she would give me her direct number. I have records of all phone calls I made and they would never respond. On 7/11/17 I sent another response to the BBB website. On 7/13/17 I had to pay another 808.62 after almost getting in another accident on the highway. My computer broke and I was calling Auto Country and would ask for Stephanie and as soon as I said my name I would get "sorry she is not here, we will give her your message and have her call you." Of course I never heard back. On 10/25/17 I sent another message (private message} because my husband was coming home from work at 3:30 am and he heard a loud noise and it was raining out. He pulled over and the window on the hatchback came off. The bolt rusted out as has been the problem of most of our issues and the window was hanging by the top left bolt. My husband was soaking wet as he tried to tape it in place with Duck Tape. He had to wait till the rain had stopped the next day and retape the window in place. Now on Saturday 11/09/17 he was on the highway and the car was pulling all over the place. My health problems have progressed and my cancer is back and I have tried to do the right thing and now my health is a priority. I have print outs of all my responses. I need Stephanie to give me a direct number that I can talk to her and not deal with the guilty salesmen answering the phone and once they hear its me they say she is not available and will give her the message. I believe that if Stephanie was giving the message and my number she would have called back. PLEASE STEPHANIE my health and our lives depend on hearing from you. Thanking you in advance cause I believe that when you see this you will respond. More

In my opinion...Buyers Beware Don’t let the “been in business for over 25 years” fool you. In my opinion, don’t ever step foot in that place. It is my opinion that Mr. Fagan is the Don’t let the “been in business for over 25 years” fool you. In my opinion, don’t ever step foot in that place. It is my opinion that Mr. Fagan is the rudest, most condescending person I have ever spoken with. I’m going to try to make my story quick. The following are all facts: I traded in my car there. The day I picked up my new car, I drove 10 minutes down the road and the check engine light came on. I took it right back and they hooked up the machine and it said “misfiring cylinder 5.” They kept the car overnight and called me the next day to say it was fixed (just needed a new fuel injector, ha). Six days later, BOOM, check engine light again! I no longer trust them so I take it to my trusted mechanic. My mechanic has it for the whole day and calls me and tells me it also says, “misfiring cylinder 5,” but that it is an internal engine problem and needs a whole new engine, roughly $3500-$5500. This also meant that it failed inspection. Under the lemon aid, yes lemon aid (look it up before buying a used car) law I have the right to void the contract. Mr. Fagan said he would not void the contract and that he wanted to fix the car. He tried to intimidate me into giving him the car to fix. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Under the law I do not have to let him fix the car. I do not want a car with a rebuilt engine. At this point Mr. Fagan had still not paid off my trade in, so I had two car loans in my name. I then incurred a late fee because he did not pay it off. I had to pay a lawyer to write him a 93A demand letter stating I would be taking him to court if he did not void the contract. All of a sudden he changed his mind and was willing to void the contract. At this point a payment was due on the piece of crap (my opinion) he sold me. So he told my lawyer that he would make the payment and then payoff the car. Guess what…he didn’t make a payment. It took him two weeks to pay it off. To you Mr. Fagan, you should be ashamed of yourself and how you run that pathetic (my opinion) business of yours. More
