I have mixed thoughts on our experience with the dealership during the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. The sales person was helpful, but seemed to be very limited by the rules of the management an dealership during the purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. The dealership was reluctant to allow us to take a used car we were interested in purchasing to have a pre-purchase inspection by a third party, but rather provided us with a print out of the items that they had performed on the car. After continued pressure the next day they did finally allow me to do a pre purchase inspection. One of the things that was observed during the inspection was that the oil was very dirty and in need of changing although a full synthetic oil change was shown as completed by the dealership just days earlier. I saw for myself how dirty and old the oil and oil filter was, so it definitely had not been serviced at the dealership as they had promised. It made me question the thoroughness of the preparation process at the dealership and less likely to ever use them for servicing The Finance team was very good to work with however and were not pushy about warranties and other add-ons, making the paperwork fairly easy and efficient. More
