Just went to peruse; walked out a very happy owner of a Q5! I’ve been driving BMWs since 1999. During most of these years I drove an X5 and loved it. A few years ago I thought I’d go back to a sedan and got an I’ve been driving BMWs since 1999. During most of these years I drove an X5 and loved it. A few years ago I thought I’d go back to a sedan and got an amazing BMW 535i. As amazing as it was, I quickly realized I missed my SUV very much. I drove the 535 for about 5 years, but every time a new issue of Consumer Reports came out, I’d scan through it to find auto reviews. Audi consistently ranked among the highest quality brands and Audi drivers ALWAYS loved their cars. I’m not sure any auto brand has a higher overall Customer Satisfaction rating as Audi. I’d had an Audi in college (more years ago than I’d care to admit!), and will say I don’t think I have ever loved a car more. I’d been ogling the Audi Q5 and Q7 on the highways and parking lots for at least a couple years now, so as I was getting a bit more serious, I decided to drop by Audi of Charlotte so I could actually look at one for real. I was not disappointed in the least! I met “Max” Montoya as my husband and I walked into the showroom after a quick glance around the lot. My experience with Max was very different from nearly all previous experiences with car salesmen and women. It was such a positive experience, that I don’t understand why so many in car sales have to be pushy, overly aggressive, etc. it’s a HUGE turnoff, and I’ve left several dealerships over the years for that very reason. Max listened carefully and closely to what I was interested in, scanned through their inventory with an iPad so he could find the closest match without us having to wander through the large lot trying to find something. He excused himself for a brief moment, and then pulled up beside the showroom with a Q5 for me to look at, and if I wanted, it was setup already for me to test drive. Which I did! It met or exceeded my expectations. I asked about a different exterior color (blues) and he pointed out 2 different blues. One was a “Moonlight Blue” which was a very dark metallic, and another whose name I can’t recall which was a bit more bright. I walked over to the Moonlight Blue and saw the color was perfect for me, and the interior was beautiful! I hadn’t been as clear on interior colors, just that I’d rather not have a real black or a white/off white. This Q5 had mostly a light charcoal gray interior but the leather seats were a light shade of gray. I loved the combination! This was my 1st choice for sure. My only hesitation was that they had a nearly identical model with all dark gray interior that had been marked down by $6000 because they’d had it on the lot for 150 days. I told Max I was conflicted bc the $6000 reduction was really hard to pass up, but I truly loved the other one the best. Before I could even address costs, or deals, Max got an OK from his manager to give me the same $6000 discount! It was wonderful not playing the “new car purchase” game where the salesperson already knows what they can or can’t do for you, but allegedly goes to the manager to beg on your behalf, but they actually talk crap, either about the customer or some other inane topic, all the while they’re making you wait. Between the discount (that I hadn’t even asked for yet, and my trade in, it put the Q5 (that was loaded!), below what Wesley and I had agreed was our available budget! Even though I was only intending to look at them at this point, it turned out to be a deal I couldn’t pass up. The dealership was immaculate, every person I met was totally professional and not anything like the stereotypical car salespeople I normally expect, and I was treated like a real, intelligent individual, not like a dupe who was being taken advantage of by the dealership. It was such a refreshing and positive experience! Max, as my salesman, was the center of all the activity, from start to finish. And he was beyond excellent! I can’t imagine working with anyone else T Audi of Charlotte! In addition, they have a full-time “Technologist”, Kyle Andes, who sat in the car with me for at least 30-40 minutes going over, reviewing, and instructing me on how to use all the technology features. It ranged from basics like cruis control, windshield wipers, to all the ins and outs of the “infotainment” system. It was a very thorough review, and if I have any questions later, I have his cell phone number or can schedule time with him for additional information and assistance. I’ve never had anyone take more than a few minutes to review this kind of technology usage before. It’s no wonder Audi of Charlotte was the only Audi dealership in the US to be named as one of the top dealerships in the country by JD Powers for 2018. Bottom line: The Audi’s themselves do all the selling and Max perfectly facilitated the transaction, and treated me with all the dignity and respect I wish other dealers would. Check out Consumer Reports automobile ratings, or other car rating services, and you’ll see why Audi is the way to go! My previous 4 vehicles have been BMWs, and I never really thought I’d drive anything else, but the ratings, the Audi of Charlotte dealership, and especially my experience with Max brought me back into the Audi fold. I sincerely doubt I could have had a better experience anywhere else. Go to Audi and ask for Max! More

He immediately researched the used cars available on the lot and provided me with print outs of potential vehicles. Max Montoya then showed me the car I was interested in. That evening he even sent me a detailed list of its features. He did not try to "up sell" me or show me vehicles I was not interested in. A couple of days later, I brought my daughter by to look at the car. Used Car Sales Manager Jeremy let us take the car for a couple of hours. After a full day of car shopping we were torn between two great cars. Max got us a very fair price but what also sold us was the 1 year warranty the Audi dealership offered on the car and our overall experience with everyone in this dealership, Many thanks for your help, More
